The most nervous detective in the world

After writing this topic, I want to add that he is still the cutest detective in the world.

He is my dear MONK.

Recently, I wasted a lot of saliva recommending the American drama "MONK" to people of all kinds. The Chinese name is "神Detective Amon" or "Nerve Wonderful Detective", and it is currently in the fifth season. Mr. MONK lacks popularity in China. Is it because there are no handsome men and beautiful women in the play? I am a little depressed, this is an age of nympho. However, I never regretted the wasted saliva, anyway it is a lot. I don't mind squandering some more here.

Simply put, Mr. MONK is a Sherlock Holmes full of quirks. The most nervous detective in the world has the following characteristics and is afraid of many things. This is a list from Wikipedia: Birds\bridges\cats\caves\crowds\mud\diseases\driving cars\dogs\elevators\closed spaces\flies\flying \Bacteria\high\lightning\milk\monkey\fungi\needle\speech\puppet\rabbit\mucus\snake\spider\tap water\touch\tunnel\birth\untidy. . . There are more than 170 items in this list, covering all aspects of life. In short, this world is like a long night to MONK. He is a kid who is afraid of the dark, but has a strange instinct to see the truth.

If you meet Mr. MONK, your first impression will definitely not be good. No matter how big a person you are or how beautiful a woman, after he shakes your hand, he will immediately take the tissue that the female assistant handed over and start to wipe his hands. Even though he looks sorry, you still want to crush him. However, you have to forgive him, MONK has a serious habit of cleanliness. Unless you look like his dead wife Trudy. He would probably control his urge to wipe his hands.

The cutest thing about MONK is his affection for his wife Trudy. Trudy had been dead for eight years, and he felt like yesterday. He can never get out of grief and memories. He really loves a woman in his whole life. The venerable Trudy is my colleague, a newspaper reporter. Because of exposing reports, I died in a car bombing. I feel ashamed. I have also written reports, but only a few meals in exchange, no one will be willing to do it. I wasted a bomb-this is the only mystery MONK can't solve. In his long widowhood career, he had been touched by a woman, because that woman Trudy looked exactly the same. It's a pity that the woman was instigated by the murderer to deceive MONK. She was killed by the murderer and died in MONK's arms.

Monk used to be a policeman, and Trudy's death caused him to be dealt a blow. He nearly collapsed and had to withdraw from the police force. Later, when he met a female nurse to help him, he cheered up. This female nurse became his Watson doctor. When the police encountered an unsolvable case, they asked them to go out. Because of all kinds of sensitive quirks, he can often find clues that ordinary people cannot detect at the scene of the crime, and solve the case in one fell swoop. For this kind of genius, MONK's explanation is: This is a gift from heaven and a curse.

MONK made a lot of jokes. For example, his obsessive-compulsive disorder requires him to count the number when passing street lights and fences. At the juncture of life and death when he was chased by the killer, he did not forget to count the street lights while running for his life; he wanted to go upstairs to hunt the killer, but he was trembling on the ladder with fear of heights. The murderer calmly climbed down from him and nodded his greetings; he did not drink tap water, only mineral water, and only one brand of mineral water. He went to Mexico to investigate the case and carried a cart of mineral water, but he didn't expect the car to be stolen. He couldn't buy mineral water of the brand he liked locally, and as a result, he almost died of thirst in Mexico. This kind of little humor is everywhere, making the whole film full of wit and no coldness.

The reasoning of "MONK" has also maintained a very high standard. The detail setting\suspense arrangement\pivot advancement cannot be said to be absolutely flawless. Generally speaking, it is quite clever. Every time it is unexpected, it can be justified. This is better than the other two popular American dramas "Lost" and "Prison Break". They are too fancy. Watching "Lost" is like falling into a fruitless love. You are a young boy who meets a big playboy. Although you have a lot of doubts, he lie and lie so that you can be tempted to continue playing with him, but You know more and more in your heart that I was fucking fooled; the first season of "Prison Break" is very classic, but starting from the second season, there are so many loopholes like a hornet's nest, so big that even hippos can pass without hindrance. Of course, they are far worse than "The Banquet" and "Ambush on Ten Sides". These two domestic blockbusters have reached the highest level of loopholes, and loopholes are everywhere. In other words, they themselves are a huge loophole. However, they created the biggest gap between low IQ and high box office in the history of film, which is indeed a miracle.

Let's go back to "MONK". What I like most about him is that kind of innocence and warmth. A movie fan once compared him to a little prince living in his own world. Although in terms of image, MONK and the little prince are far apart, this stiff, clumsy and nervous middle-aged man makes you feel sorry for him. Everyone has some of his quirks more or less. I am the kind of mentally healthy person, but when I leave home and lock the door, I will inevitably worry about whether the faucet in the bathroom is turned off. It's just that MONK is a master of quirks. But you must know what Zhang Chao said in "You Meng Ying": People who are not addicted can not be with each other, because they are not affectionate; people who are not faultless cannot be with each other, because they have no innocence.

Before MONK, my favorite detective was not Sherlock Holmes or Poirot, but Sam Spade in "The Maltese Eagle." This is an absolutely cruel guy. Spade fell in love with a woman who deceived everyone for a giant treasure and killed a partner in his detective agency. He caught the woman and handed her to the police. The woman tempted him: Don't you love me at all? He said, I think I love you. But I want to hand you over. In twenty years you will be released, you are a baby, and I will wait for you. If they hang you, I will miss you often.

Spade, played by Humphrey Bogart, is a combination of a powerful wolf and a cunning fox. I admire this ruthless tough guy, but I also like MONK, a fragile guy who is incorrigible and affectionate. The weight of these two diametrically opposed people in my heart can be said to be indistinguishable. Life is full of contradictions in this way, and it is not a strange thing that the outlook on life is so divergent and conflicting.
