I watched this movie with heartache, palpitations, and sympathy. After watching it at the end of 2006, I did not hesitate to make it into the list of the most memorable movies of the year. When I was listening to Slowdive and Ride, I repeatedly thought about this movie. When I thought about this movie, I listened to Slowdive and Ride. As the despair of this cold weather continued to deepen, I couldn’t refuse Shoegazing, I couldn’t refuse this like a sound wall. Afterwards, like the lonely but quiet world, I am obsessed with this movie, and I want to be as real as my desire for loneliness and true love.

This is a small town in Kansas. Eight-year-old Brian thought he was kidnapped by aliens. Eight-year-old Neil thought he had met his true love. A pedophile baseball coach that summer completely changed the lives of two boys. . Brian lost all the memories of that rainy night, the cold basement, the bleeding nose, the unstoppable nightmare, when he closed his heart more and more and blamed the aliens for everything in his memory, but when he was looking for the truth , When looking for the love that can make oneself exist, the pain in the deep memory is overturned naked.

The coach said to Neil, you are an angel; Eric said, he is like a god; Wendy said, he is a black hole; Neil hugged Brian and said that the two angels with wings disappeared. Neil is the soul of this movie. He makes everything that existed in the past meaningful. He makes the pain we feel now real and decisive. He cools us a little bit before the screen. He undoubtedly loves the coach, with the heart of an eight-year-old boy, and also with the heart of an eighteen-year-old boy, in the so-called love at first sight, in the messy candy rain, he constantly lies in the sex of the elderly. Seeing the coach’s illusion in the game, one of the first reasons why he betrayed his body also came from the coach’s five-dollar game. He was immersed in this indulgence and remembered the past, just as Brian was immersed in UFO and forgot the past. What they crave is nothing but illusory but consoling love.

The two clues overlapped from the beginning to split, and finally returned to the same origin fatefully. What has passed is their wasted years, their search for truth and love, and their painful and distorted past. Whether it's Brian's forgetting or Neil's indulgence, none of them can really escape the nightmare. When they nestled in the place of their dreams on Christmas Eve at the age of nineteen, they really grew up. Childhood and dreams are gone and never return. That picture made me so desperate, so warm, but so lonely.

You can’t one-sidedly say that this is a gay movie about pedophilia and so on. It’s about growing up, about pain, about the traces of the past, about the loneliness in the crowd that can’t be seen at a glance, about Whatever you want behind the sound wall is about the condensation of water on Christmas Eve. What can’t be dissipated is the memory of the light, shadow and sound, the eight-year-old Neil’s ecstatic eyes in the candy rain. After the first sale, he and Wendy dreamed about the sound of the universe. After receiving AIDS clients, he ran wildly with the sound of the guitar. Awakening, Joseph Gordon-Levitt played this slutty and handsome boy on the fringe who was full of longing in his heart, which also supported the whole movie to come alive. And his "Brick" this year was also included in my list of ten, but I must not let me feel his strength, and of course his beauty.

Director Gregg Araki, a Japanese-American, is said to be bisexual, keen on independent production and self-appreciation of music. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name published in 1996 by American writer Scott Heim. The soundtrack is American atmosphere master Harold Budd and Cocteau Twins member Robin Guthrie. You can hear the following sounds in the movie: Slowdive, Ride, Cocteau Twins and Sigur Ros. In fact, what I didn't figure out is what Mysterious Skin symbolizes. There are not many places that focus on the skin in the movie, or is there any special meaning that I don't understand?

At the end of the movie, I suddenly thought of a sentence in "Listen to the Wind Yin", "Everything will be gone, no one can capture it. This is how we live." I saw everything in a daze. The once innocent youths were crying with all their memories, the curtain fell, and the song ended, I took a deep breath, fragile and helpless, our lives will continue like this.
