Jin Ping Mei and A Dream of Red Mansions

In fact, I watched "Big Short" two weeks ago. I thought about some things to focus on, but I haven't written a proper film review. It wasn't until late last night that I finished watching "Focus" and realized that I had to compare it with "Big Short". The two films are so similar, they both select a certain type of people who are not easy to get in touch with the profession, or narrate their lives in a simple or slightly exaggerated manner.

Why is there such a strange name in this issue? Both novels have high achievements. Needless to say, "Dream of Red Mansions". "Jin Ping Mei" at least Zheng Zhenduo, Qian Zhongshu and many other people have a very high evaluation of it. In an interview, Mr. Mo Yan said: Not only me, but all those who engage in literature have a high evaluation of "Jin Ping Mei". So what is the difference between these two books? Mr. Mao Zedong has a sentence that directly points out the difference between the two: Some novels, such as "The Officialdom Showcase", only write darkness, which Lu Xun calls condemning novels. Only expose the darkness, people don't like to watch. "Jin Ping Mei" did not spread, not just because of its obscenity, but mainly because it only exposed the darkness. Although it is well written, people don't like it. "A Dream of Red Mansions" is different, it's a bit hopeful.

Yes, this is how I feel after watching "Focus" and "Big Short". The film "Focus" embodies the sympathy and hope of the creator.

From a film perspective, it seems to be all ordinary dialogue scenes. The shots of the film are solid, and the various techniques are very hidden but rigorous. There are many main characters, but there are some slight differences in priority. The story line is many and independent, but it is very careful to alternate and slowly guide the emotions to gradually rise, until the climax is reached at the end, and it is a matter of course.

Some people say that the media has not created anything, and we have known for a long time that the media cannot change the audience, but can only guide the audience. So, what is the meaning of the media? It should be the last thing the editor-in-chief said: broad and immediate attention of readers. Yes, when a news or opinion exists in everyone's heart, it is difficult to have power, but the media has become such a declaration. It declares that you are not the only one who knows this matter. Only when they know that others have the same ideas as themselves, most people bravely stand up and declare their ideas in the silence of the public. Is it great? Yes. But the great premise is that the resonance itself is good, objective, and resonance based on the truth. This industry especially needs the conscience of journalists. Fortunately, in Focus, what he praised is a group of morally self-disciplined, honest, introspective, and conscientious reporters. What they do is meaningful.

The newspaper moved forward on the printing press like flowing water, and walked towards the audience with the full devotion of the focus group members for several months. Yes, justice has been made public, and I believe this is what made everyone breathe a sigh of relief. Perhaps we can think about why we are so worried and sympathetic? Is it what we expect, there are too few beautiful stories in the movie?

I was watching "Entertainment to Death" recently. It mentioned that when the United States opened the first telegraph line, the whole country was excited about it, but not everyone was optimistic. Thoreau wrote in "Walden": "We are passionately under the Atlantic Ocean. The tunnel opened, bringing the old and the new world closer for a few weeks, but the first news that reached the Americans’ ears might be that Princess Adelaide had whooping cough. "The news is getting more and more interesting, but the truth is less and less. . Entertainment replaces rigor, and serious journalism is becoming more and more out of date. In this Internet that can already be compared to hundreds of millions of telegraph lines, what everyone needs is interesting news like the princess has whooping cough, not the truth that needs to be considered. So, saying that this kind of truth is still valuable to us is the greatest practical significance of this film.

I would have thought that the selection of the best film was a compromise, but I was wrong. This video should indeed be the best film. The film describes the great splendor of that era of rigorous news, and it is also a gorgeous curtain call for that era of rigorous news. Few people watch the news with heart. What we are about to usher in is a media that no longer has any paper, images are everywhere, and people are changing their tastes every minute, the first one is the star who has gone all the way, the next second is a man who has bigamy eight times, and another second. It was the puppy who got on the subway dressed as a panda and caught the eye. Interesting. Yes. Why is there a sad feeling of powerlessness? In many years, there will be fewer and fewer such journalists, and fewer serious writings, the era of printed matter has ended, the era of entertainment to death is in its heyday, and there will be no turning point.

At this moment, a picture of pole dancing appeared in the lower right corner of my screen, with the title of National Pole Dance Class Begins. In fact, the content of the news may be serious, but the title and accompanying pictures have already explained everything. In this age of entertainment to death, news needs clicks. How much is the truth worth?
