Of course it is not the imaginary romantic legend of the beautiful and moving heroes of the rivers and lakes. The male is a rude martial artist, and the female is a slender clown. The two are living a prosperous career on a broken motorcycle. There is no suffering experience of each other, only the neglect and abandonment again and again.

When Gelsomina had just left home, she actually had an expression of excitement and hope. Young people always yearn for the outside world, whether it is wonderful or helpless, there are always fresh plots and fresh emotions. Moreover, she was taken by a man with a mighty appearance, and there is always no shortage of support and protection with him. What a wonderful life experience to travel the world like this. Only when Zaparo beat her with a branch for the first time, my confidence in it began to shake. But the lonely and helpless girl can only endure without complaint, and has no choice to follow. She asked Zaparo for love and understanding time and time again, but he just condescendingly regarded her as a lowly slave girl, a tool for making money. She ran away disappointed, but was picked up like a lost item. Matto told her that each star has its own role. Yes, her role is to muster the courage to accompany Zaparo, praying that one day he can perceive her gentle eyes and sad smile. But she still can't wait, her kindness can make her persistently wait for someone who doesn't love him, and her fragility can't accept the kindness of others being ruthlessly stifled. We are sad to see that for innocent adults, going crazy is always the only ending.

In the end we also saw Zaparo's drunkenness and crying, we can't say that he is completely hard-hearted. Perhaps his arrogance, rudeness, and indifference were just from a survival instinct. The selfishness of human nature blinded his mind, the hardship of life diluted his passion, and the cruelty of the world paralyzed his heart. He just ostentatiously claimed that Jelsomina was his wife, but animals instinctively fooled around with prostitutes. He walked around towns and towns, and broke the chains of his chest like a machine. Gelsomina is extremely sensitive, and he is extremely numb. Only death can barely touch him, but it is always too late to wake up. I don't doubt that the Luosha mentioned in the opening of the movie also died like this, but the cruelty of survival always makes Zaparo easy to forget to cherish.

This is a complete tragedy. Lu Xun said that tragedy is to tear up beautiful things for others to see. It's just that sometimes unconscious indifference can strike people's fragile hearts more easily than hateful destruction.
