Although decades have passed and the era of feature films has changed with the current national culture, the use and final presentation of romantic comedies have never changed. Although the backgrounds and characters are different, most of the narrative aspects (story, plot and theme) and other old-fashioned nuances are relatively unchanged; a stylized story is woven, telling two people meet, fall in love, and face each other. Challenge and (eventually) a story of living together happily.
In movies and sitcoms, people have explored the relationship between this stupid idiot and the cold queen countless times. So this is a romantic story about terrible optics.
Charlotte Fields (Charlize Theron) is the current US Secretary of State. After President Bob Odenkirk announced that he was ready to abandon one, Charlotte supported the promise of a future presidential term and tried to create a huge world climate protection agreement. While participating in a charity event, Charlotte met Fred Frasky (played by Seth Rogen). Charlotte has hopes of becoming president and has the opportunity to "upgrade" her image, so she invited Fred to join her team as a speech writer. Over time, a romance began to complicate Charlotte's path to becoming the first female president of the United States.
Seth Rogen plays the role of Fred Flarsky, a political speech writer who is a left-wing journalist. This is the third time he has collaborated with director Jonathan Levine since 2011's "Half and Half" and 2015's "Eve".
This time his romantic partner is Secretary of State and presidential candidate Charlotte Field, played by the powerful Charlize Theron.
In fact, "All the People Chase the Queen" is an excellent romantic comedy. There is an obvious chemical reaction between the two protagonists-the two have a simple interaction that is enough to make their love meaningful. The important thing is that it is not only Logan who made laughter, but Charlotte played by Theron is also very good. They all have their own comedy elements. For example, Charlotte must be tricky after taking drugs with Freddie nightclub. Negotiations on the issue of diplomatic hostages is the best comedy scene in this movie.
Although "All People Chase the Queen" is based on political satire, it follows the routine of romantic comedy. Political views, vulgar humor, and the beloved nuances of romantic comedies are the main themes of this nationwide chasing queen movie. Director Jonathan Levine's latest work adopts the narrative method of classic romantic comedies, and adds new elements to it, laying out the tried and true story lines on the stage of political satire.
In terms of performance, this movie still cannot escape the essence of predictive and formulaic romantic comedy. Of course, this movie may not be nominated or won any awards for its technical achievements, but it is definitely a well-made movie, and as a romantic comedy movie, it really makes a deep impression.
This is not the best romantic comedy in Hollywood, but it is definitely worth watching: charming, romantic, very humorous, and uplifting.
