The original name of the movie is "Capernaum", which is a place name in the Bible. The Lord Jesus was not welcome in his hometown of Nazareth, so he went to Capernaum on the trail.
Later, this "home away from home" was also destroyed. Luke chapter 10 verse 15 mentioned: Capernaum, you have ascended to heaven.
Capernaum represents the faith that has nowhere to stay, the soul that has nowhere to stay. So its Chinese translation is directly written as the ultimate torture——
What is home.
At the beginning of the movie, a doctor examines Zain's teeth.
This doctor is not a dentist, he is judging how old Zain is based on the condition of his teeth.
It's like a veterinarian looks at the teeth of an animal.
In fact, if a cow can talk, she probably knows how old her children are.
Where are Zain's parents? They don't remember.
What does this family live on? Dry the clothes full of painkillers and sell them to the prisoners-in fact, reselling drugs.
Going to jail is like going to relatives.
Zain lives in such a family. He is responsible for going to the drugstore to buy painkillers, usually helping a convenience store sell drinks, and sometimes fighting with people.
Do not go to school.
A child, if he doesn't teach him, he doesn't know what is good and evil.
Maybe he can feel the slimy unhappiness from the days when his parents beat and scold and barely make ends meet;
Maybe he has torn through the shackles of his wrist in the torment with life-he will spend this life in such a muddle-headed manner.
He can already feel missing, confused and numb, but this "maybe twelve-year-old" child does not necessarily know why all this is.
Until the parents sold his sister Saha to the landlord as a bride because they couldn't pay the rent.
Zain has younger siblings that I can't even count the whole movie, and both parents, but Saha is his only relative.
During her sister's first menstrual period, Zain washed her pants while telling her not to be fooled by men.
They often snuggle together like little beasts.
This kind of love for a sibling sister, like a parent's love for a child, is an animal instinct-even a few months old cubs know to squeeze tightly together to resist the cold and danger outside the nest.
But for Zain's parents, the children are just pigs to be slaughtered.
In the cycle of childbirth—poverty—selling children—continuing to give birth, they push the millstone of broken life in circles throughout their lives, crushing family, life and love little by little.
Running around for a lifetime, being tied to poverty by ignorance and chaos for a lifetime, will never escape the tragedy a metre away.
Their concept of fertility comes from animals, but they forget that it is human beings who are born, and they are also human.
It's okay if you don't think of yourself as a human being. How bad are the children raised as livestock?
How guilty is Zain whose sister was taken away?
He Gu, the younger sister who died of bleeding during childbirth because of her age?
The family should have provided blessing. Before the chicks have full feathers and the young wolves have full fangs and claws, they can stay in the nest with peace of mind until they are able to take on everything.
Rather than holding on to Mao, shivering and being driven into a world of miserable wind and rain.
Zain left home disappointed.
He wanted to go to his grandmother's house by accident, and he accidentally stayed in the playground on the way, and met Rashir.
The female smugglers who work in the amusement park also have their own sweet secrets.
After tearing out of the original family, Zain came to this sweet nest.
Here, the director must carefully fold this home in half, so that everyone's soul overlaps warmly.
Then tear it into pieces and throw it on your face.
Finally one day, Rahill was caught outside and never returned home.
Rahill was gone, Zain thought of many ways to maintain the baby and his own life.
Become the rags among the sellers, pretend to be Syrians to receive relief, and even return to the old business to sell painkillers.
No matter what he does, he uses a rope to drag the "car" made up of broken pots with the baby in it.
He has no obligation to take care of this little child who has just met a few days ago, and he can also sell the baby to a human trafficker-not to mention that the person also offers a good price.
But Zain regards him as his own brother.
If this movie is heartbreaking to tears, it is because Zain has not been treated kindly by his parents and no one has been responsible to him. His kindness and beauty seem to be born out of the mud.
He never owned a home, was hurt and driven away by his biological parents, but tried to give a home to his unknown baby.
Although he is only "about twelve years old".
Although he can't even tell lies.
He was looking forward to saving enough money to go to Sweden with his younger brother.
You can have your own independent room, and you can bring the girls you meet at the market.
But as he said-"Life is a bitch".
Why do we let children live in a fairy tale world?
Why do we have to try our best to enlighten a child when he is a little frustrated, so that he understands that he still has the energy of the entire universe and the possibility of being more dazzling than the sun?
Because those immature, quietly reaching out to the world, almost tearful little tentacles, they need the courage of the whole world.
Before stepping into this world, we must protect their bravery and love as stars. Let them understand that love and being loved are things that can be proudly announced to everyone.
But the reality is that the world is breaking this child's bones piece by piece.
Finally one day, the landlord changed the lock of the house, and the two children had nowhere to go.
Zain had no choice but to give the baby to the trafficker.
Life is like a sieve, sifting out all the absurd and foolish decisions of these adults through the wounds and loopholes of this society, sweeping the most innocent children like a storm.
Zain left a place that could not be called home, and found that he could not build a home.
After not knowing where he came from and where to go, Zain wondered: Does Zain exist?
Legally, he cannot prove his existence;
But in reality, the dog is alive like this, can feel the decay and fall, can see the fate of the head at a glance, can't feel the pulse, can't hear the heartbeat, can it prove that "Zain" is alive?
What does he want?
But to be a good person, to love others and to love yourself, hope that the soul can be ironed neatly like a big man's shirt, and hope that every second of life will feel the heart beating and hot.
But Zain's experience, peeling flesh and blood, cramping and peeling bones layer by layer, made him discover that his soft tentacles protruding toward human nature were wrapped around the red soldering iron.
hiss. The skin is burnt and the flesh is rotten.
He hates powerlessness, hates decay and depravity, hates being trapped, hates himself like useless waste, and can't even protect his younger brothers and sisters.
So he picked up the knife.
At the end of the story, Zain made his voice through a TV show and finally won the qualifications for immigrants. He took a grinning ID photo and started a new life.
This is the only time he smiled in the entire movie.
This homeless child left the trial ground of the soul and finally looked for his own happiness elsewhere.
Zain was lucky. After the destruction of his "Capernaum", he found another place to go.
But how many people still have no home or no home for their entire lives?
How many parents have never realized that they have failed to give their children the ability to love themselves like giving life to them?
After all, when we talk about home, what are we talking about?
A home is not a building, and it has nothing to do with the gender and number of parents, let alone rich people have a home.
Someone should provide protection, some should be protected; some should take responsibility to keep children from wandering, confusion and confusion.
Free from dislocation, harm, and hatred--
Don't let children hate fertility and life, let them understand that this is a great creation.
More importantly, build your own soul frame in the family, learn to look at and appreciate yourself calmly and objectively, recognize your own existence-from body to soul, and love yourself.
Just like when we were children, when we met new children on the first day of school, we said out loud, what is my name, who my parents are, and how much I love them.
Don’t be a home away from home, don’t add love, don’t go to the poor and fall to the yellow spring, and don’t be the heart frozen by disappointment.
Stand tall and look up, proud like a sunflower chasing the sun, like a peacock displaying its gorgeous tail feathers.
Just like born.
"So when my life ends, I find that I have never lived."
