One goal to become famous, dreams come true

Everyone has their own dreams when they are young. Some people realize them while they grow up, and some people go further and further away. Santiago, a poor boy in Mexico, realized his dream of becoming a professional player in the great Newcastle.
The movie itself is not so wonderful, and there are many flaws. For example: To play the Premier League requires a labor certificate, and how can I join a professional team to participate in the FIRST TEAM competition during the transfer period? How can a kid playing wild football have the physical fitness of a professional player? How can a player who is good at right foot kick a wonderful arc with his left foot on the right side (I suspect that the shot is real shot, the kicker should be Robort)? But this does not prevent me from liking this movie. Because I have also had a dream like Santiago. Seeing how Santiago became a professional player and the growth of a superstar is as exciting as watching my dream come true.
Although the guest appearances of Beckham, Raul, Shearer and Zidane are only a few seconds, they still make me excited. I can feel how Santiago feels when he sees a superstar. The charm of football is so great!

Goal! The Dream Begins quotes

  • Erik Dornhelm: So, when I say go, I want you to run as fast as you can to the goal, ok?

    Santiago Munez: Yeah!

Erik Dornhelm: Go! Come back. Again, go! What did you learn?

Santiago Munez: That, that you can score from half way.

Erik Dornhelm: No, that the ball can travel faster than you!

  • [Roz the nurse is giving a physical examination]

    Santiago Munez: What's your name?

    Roz Harmison: Roz Harmison.

Santiago Munez: I- I mean your first name.

Roz Harmison: You don't need to know that.

[she goes over and puts on a pair of latex gloves]

Roz Harmison: You don't need to know where I live, or what my star sign is, or what I'm doing on a Saturday night. I'm going to have to take blood.

Santiago Munez: Oh, hey, really? I don't like needles.

Roz Harmison: Oh, but you have a tattoo or is that a transfer?

Santiago Munez: That was a gang thing.

Roz Harmison: You were in a gang?

Santiago Munez: Not anymore. There's only three ways to get out of a gang, either you get shot, you go to jail, or in my case you have a grandmother who will kick some sense into you.

[Roz pokes Santiago with the needle]

    Santiago Munez: Ow!

    Roz Harmison: Sorry, tough guy.
