Great movie

At first glance, it's almost a

simple Watergate incident in a reporter training tutorial . The script is plain and
almost the same as that written in our textbooks,
but the whole movie is thrilling and full of tension.
This is a great movie! ! !

The reporter’s office, which symbolizes the light,
has been visited one after another.
Everything depends on the facts. There is no Sherlock Holmes, no 007. The
tight typewriter voice announced Nixon’s resignation. The

inside story is simply a tribute.

"Focus" should be imitated and borrowed from this one. The pen and ink are placed on the reporter's investigation and visit, and the conspiracy and political changes are hidden behind the scenes, which dilutes the strong plot, especially the key role in the history of "Deep Throat" is handled very restrained and not exaggerated. This story can easily turn into a strong melodrama if you are not careful. Goldman is very powerful, the choice is well done, and the ending is really good. Words (pen and typewriter) are the most powerful weapons for journalists. (I watched this film twice in Soderbergh’s release list last year, and I’ll reload it when I’m done with work.

Brad Pitt is indeed very similar to Robert Redford. Looking at Redford's current photos, you can imagine what Pitt looks like in old age. . . Hoffman was really handsome when he was young.

All the President's Men quotes

  • Ben Bradlee: How much can you tell me about Deep Throat?

Bob Woodward: How much do you need to know?

Ben Bradlee: Do you trust him?

    Bob Woodward: Yeah.

Ben Bradlee: I can't do the reporting for my reporters, which means I have to trust them. And I hate trusting anybody. Run that baby.

  • Carl Bernstein: I think it's Magruder.

Bob Woodward: I think it's Magruder too.

Carl Bernstein: Why do you think it's Magruder?

Bob Woodward: Because he was second in command under Mitchell. Why do you think it's Magruder?

Carl Bernstein: [Carl gets up and goes to open a jar of cookies] I think it's Magruder because at one time he was the temporary head of the Committee to Re-Elect before Mitchell.

[he flings one at Bob who, still furiously typing away, catches it without missing a beat]

    Bob Woodward: I don't want a cookie.
