The emotional drama is miserable. Yu Rentai, who has directed Freddy Vs. Jason, is not a director who specializes in emotional dramas. Jet Li is also not an actor who can act in emotional dramas, so the relationship with Sun Li in the film is a bit unclear.
The film has made quite a lot of changes to Fearless's life, at least 80% of which are inconsistent with historical facts. Although artistic processing is necessary, such a big change will make people have a wrong understanding of Fearless.
As a fellow of Fearless, I went to the theater to join the show on the first day, and I was a little disappointed after watching it. The funny thing is that the Tianjin dialect of the film was said by a beggar (said it many times, I guess everyone remembers it clearly after reading it), and everyone else is in standard Mandarin. It seems that Tianjin people at that time are of high quality! Haha~ The
life of Wuxue Master Huo Yuanjia introduced
20 miles southwest of Tianjin, not far from Xiaonanhe Village, Nanhe Town, there is a Huo Yuanjia Wenwu School. In the school’s martial arts field, dozens of children are holding single swords and jumping. Jumping, shouting again and again, each move is quite basic. Perhaps the children know that in the resting place of martial arts masters, the spirit of martial arts can never be lost. It turned out that Xiaonanhe Village was the hometown of Huo Yuanjia, a patriotic martial artist and ancestor of Jingwu. Huo Yuanjia’s former residence and cemetery are still preserved here.
Huo Yuanjia, whose word is Junqing, was born in 1869. Huo's ancestors have lived in Xiaonanhe Village for generations. Back then, this family of martial arts made a living from farming and lived a farm life like most villagers. Huo Yuanjia made a living by collecting firewood in his youth, and later worked as a footer.
In the spring of 1896, Huo Yuanjia got acquainted with Nong Jinsun, the shopkeeper of Huaiqing Medicine Store in Zhugan Lane, Tianjin North Gate, and went to work in the medicine store. At that time, the medicine store bought goods, and each bundle of medicinal materials weighed five hundred kilograms. It was very difficult for the two men with great strength to carry one pack, but Huo Yuanjia was able to pick two packs alone, and his supernatural power was astonishing for the viewers. One morning, when the medicine store had just opened the door, only two eight hundred kilograms of rolling stones were crushed and blocked at the door. Another day, there were two large bluestones leaning against the well platform in front of the medicine store door, and the well platform could be destroyed by a slight touch. These two secret provocations were all eliminated by Huo Yuanjia's flying kick and fist. Since then, the name "Huo Hercules" spread throughout Tianjin.
During this period of time, Nong Jinsun often told Huo Yuanjia about ancient and modern Chinese and foreign stories, which opened his eyes to Huo Yuanjia, understood a lot of truths, and inspired his patriotism to serve the country.
In 1900, Wang Zibin, a hero of the Beijing Yuanshun Escort Bureau known as the "Five Swordsmen", came to Tianjin and met Huo Yuanjia at first sight. Huo Yuanjia respected Wang Zibin. On June 18 of the lunar calendar in 1900, the "Big Sword King Fifth" was brutally killed in a struggle with foreigners and was beheaded by the Eight-Power Allied Forces. After learning of this, Huo Yuanjia and his apprentice Liu Zhensheng sneaked into the capital. In the dead of night, Huo Yuanjia climbed up to a ten-meter benchmark to grab Wang Zibin's first rank. With the assistance of Liu E, the author of "The Travel of the Old Can", the righteous man was buried together, doing his best to be a friend.
In 1901, a Russian boxer who claimed to be "The World's No. 1 Hercules" went to Tianjin to perform art, claiming that he "beats China's invincible hand". After hearing the news, Huo Yuanjia rushed to compete with him immediately. The Russian boxer learned of Huo Yuanjia's prestige and never dared to play. In the end, he confessed his contempt of the Chinese in the newspaper and left Tianjin in a desperate manner.
Huo Wujia is determined to revitalize martial arts, be strong against insults, recruit apprentices in his hometown, and teach martial arts. In 1909, Huo Yuanjia came to Shanghai and became famous for his courage to "receive strong men from all over the world, despite the copper bars and iron bones, but with nothing to lose."
In June 1910, Huo Yuanjia founded the "China Jingwu Gymnastics Association" in Shanghai, which was later renamed "Jingwu Sports Association". This also earned Fearless the reputation of "Jingwu Hero". Only three months after the founding of the Jingwuhui, Huo Yuanjia passed away on September 14, 1910. It has been spread among the people that he was killed by the Japanese. Mr. Sun Yat-sen spoke highly of Huo Yuanjia's courage to "strengthen the country with military force". On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Jingwu Association, Sun Yat-sen visited the conference in person, wrote a preface for the "Jingwu" conference journal, and wrote the four characters "Shangwu Spirit" with his own handwriting.
Today, the Jingwu Sports Association has spread all over the world, especially in Southeast Asia, with hundreds of thousands of members. This folk sports association that "takes national martial arts as the foundation and martial arts as refuge" has always held high the banner of "patriotism, self-cultivation, justice, and helping others".
After Huo Yuanjia's death, he was first buried in the Shanghai Cemetery. In 1911, his disciple put him back home and buried him in Xiaonanhe Village. His wife, Wang, lived in Xiaonanhe Village until his death in 1960 at the age of 92.
Regrettably, after Huo Yuanjia's death, his famous stunt, "The Lost Art" was lost at the same time.
