Generally speaking, it is still a good film about terrorists—it also portrays the character, value and strategy of terrorists. Like other American films, it highlights individualism-high-level officials are generally incompetent, and the protagonist often uses his own will against the upper-level to achieve better results. But if an individual makes a mistake in his judgment and causes civilian casualties, what should he do? This is not what the American film wants to portray. There are some plots that are too dramatic and lack logic. For example, in the last episode, Jack guessed that Suleiman would go to the hospital, and then there was no evidence to ensure that the other party was in the hospital, so he searched the hospital conclusively. This is not very logical. For another example, Suleiman has already recorded a public video, but has successfully entered the US border. This doesn't make sense.
In addition, although terrorists are hateful, why are they fundamentally? Terrorism always carries some extreme brainwashing, but if the majority of people live and work in peace and contentment, how can these extremisms have a breeding ground? I think the United States should also reflect on a few points:
1. Do what you want to do to others. Intervention in other countries can have short-term effects, but in the long run, the political, religious, and economic contradictions of other countries cannot be handled by the United States. These contradictions will cause bigger problems than the old system.
2. The political system of the United States. According to game theory, extreme ones are easier to get the support of voters. Perhaps the militant hawks are more likely to gain political power in some cases. After the hawks come to power, they are more likely to influence other countries militaryly. This is good for politicians in the short term, but it is not good for the country in the long run, and even worse for the local people.
Of course, the United States’ counter-terrorism itself is good. The strikes against some terrorism in the Middle East have also suppressed certain sources of terrorism in China. The human rights of the Americans are also good, which embodies some of the idealistic spirit of the United States.
