**Mowgli / Jungle Book: Origins / The Jungle Book (2018), also known as "Mowgli" profit.
The fantasy film produced by Warner has exactly the same theme as Disney's "Fantasy Forest" in 2016, and is adapted from the fairy tale "The Book of the Jungle" by Nobel Prize winner Kipling. Disney also filmed the old cartoon "The Forest Prince" in 1967.
In terms of plot, the several films are consistent, and the young protagonist Mowgli has realized his identity and achieved growth after experiencing hardships.
But judging from the film screen, the two films that are not long apart can really be regarded as jewels and jade in the front, and wood in the back.
In "Fantasy Forest", the rendering time is claimed to have taken 5000 hours. Only the little actor Neel Sethi played Mowgli is real, and all the rest are made of special effects, not to mention all kinds of lifelike animals. Now, even thousands of leaves and splashes of water are all CG. It is said that "Fantasy Forest" was used by Disney to practice the 2019 "Lion King". Seeing such quality, it is really reassuring.
"Mowgli, Son of the Forest" puts more emphasis on motion capture technology. Simply put, it must reflect human expressions vividly on animal faces. Judging from the effect of the film, the expressions of the animals are indeed very rich, and they are very expressive between a frown and a smile, but they seem to give people a strange feeling, as if they are pressing the human face down and sticking to the animal's body.
Disney's movies are suitable for all ages, and "Fantasy Forest" has no tangled characters, either good or bad. "Mowgli, Son of the Forest" does not play that way. It is known that to create a dark version of "Fantasy Forest", you must let the characters swing between the various camps before they are enjoyable. Warner is really surrounded by the dark series.
"Mowgli, Son of the Forest" emphasizes Mowgli's role identity in the animal camp and his identity in human society. It is a good idea to highlight the racial differences in order to generate a spark of collision, but from the perspective of the effect of the film, it is not satisfactory.
The relationship between humans and nature and between humans and animals is not a life-and-death relationship, but a mutually beneficial, harmonious and symbiotic relationship. This is just a cooperative relationship, not a competitive relationship, let alone an antagonistic relationship. The film is skewed in terms of its fundamental concept, and the story naturally produced will not be effective.
I wanted to shoot in a dark spot, but didn't choose the right dark spot. This is the biggest flaw in the film. Instead of doing this, it would be better to shoot a sunny spot like Disney, and compete openly with technology. To be honest, the special effects of "Mowgli, Son of the Forest" are still a bit worse than that of "Fantasy Forest".
No special highlights can be found in the main feature of the film. In the end, only the highlights can be found in the voice actors. In this way, the dubbing of Benedict Cumberbatch, Christian Bale, and Cate Blanchett all became highlights. It's not that they didn't match well, it's just that the final highlight of such a special effects film falls on the dubbing, which is really embarrassing.
Similar remakes of jewels and jade are ahead,
Darkness is not behind the wood.
