I read the first book of the novel, and the film adaptation does have a big problem. The original book has many descriptions of the setting of the fictional world, which are either directly deleted in the movie or are a large number of boring voiceovers. This is actually a common problem of overhead background movies. The other is that the director's shooting methods are nothing new, and the lens language is too simple. Also, the visual effects are very mediocre, incomparable to "Moving Maze"-is the movie's budget all spent on Winslet's pay? Is there only 10 yuan left for the special effects?
The level of adaptation is aside. As far as the setting of the story is concerned, I think "Divergent" is not as popular as the other ones, mainly because of the two flaws of no love triangle and no trouble.
You see, "Twilight" is a bitter hostess wandering between handsome albino and handsome werewolf, "The Hunger Games" is a bitter hostess wandering between Peeta and the hammer brother (this is also Not counting the soy sauce guy who is willing to die for the heroine, such as Finnick). As for this "Divergent", the bitter and feuding heroine locks on the handsome boy A Si as soon as he comes up, and there is no one else in his eyes-the second handsome man in this film is the heroine's brother, although in other films Li and the hostess also made a shot, but I still can't incest here, right. Except for these two, the other handsome guys either had too weak skills and burped before the boss, or they were just the boss.
This is a fatal flaw. Although I personally hate the meaningless and crooked love triangle, I am not the main force of this kind of movie audience after all. Young adult’s main audience is teenagers. Girls with strong adolescent hormones are officially full of romantic fantasies. The two boys earn their lives for themselves. This kind of vulgar Qiong Yao drama will never tire of them.
So, even though the little British boy who plays Ah Si is 100 times handsomer than Peeta, even though I don’t understand the big cousin’s blindness, which one looks at Peeta instead of Hammer, but the most handsome male protagonist will easily catch up to the female if there is no competition. Lord, how can you satisfy the heart of Mary Su of the girls? ! Even if the male protagonist is frustrated, as long as there is competition and sincere devotion, the girls can live to their deaths, even if there is no admiration, there will be maternal love.
OK, even though the heterosexual part is lost, this year, we can still please the audience by smashing the base and selling corruption. Look at the group of small fresh meats in "Moving Maze", different races, various types, you can choose, arrange and combine your favorite CP, and even more P. At the same time as the base, you can also drive in both directions. Advance and retreat, bend and straight are suitable.
Not only young adult movies, all movies are now inseparable from the stirrer. I won’t talk about those from the M family. Even the "Theory of Everything" will give Hawking a loyal dog, princess friend, to hug him!
Look at "The Divergent" again, the heterosexual flash bomb of the male and female protagonist wants to blind my dog's eyes. Although the number of other male characters is large, the description is very small. If you have to do it hard, you can barely pick out Eric and Ah Si who fell in love with each other, but Eric's scum and Ah Si's heterosexual flash bullet really make this pair's development prospects worrying.
In short, as far as I am concerned, the background setting of this movie is still very thoughtful. I plan to look for the next two novels and read it again. If there are love triangles and groundbreaking plots ahead, this series can still be saved.
