A real fairy tale dedicated to children

If this movie is positioned as a fairy tale dedicated to children, I think it is quite successful.

First of all, Dumbo’s CG special effects are really good. The small details and small interactions touched my heart. The interaction with humans, especially children, is quite comfortable and does not violate peace. Presumably it can inspire children's kindness, and even love for animals.

Secondly, the "alternative" Dumbo was not appreciated by some adults or even the elephants in the circus at first, but gradually got rid of this kind of being taken care of by the children. The situation of "discrimination" has been loved by everyone until the end. I think this is also a metaphor. I hope that more people will not feel inferior due to certain "defects." For children, the establishment of this awareness is also very important.

Again, the storyline is very concise and clear. A group of adults, with the reminders and persistence of the children, finally helped the Dumbo to reunite with the elephant mother, and returned to the wild and the elephant herd. And the bad guys finally got rid of themselves and got the punishment they deserved. Although this clear view of good and evil is a bit deliberate, it is also a good education for children.

But for adults, even if the movie is classified as a fantasy film, the relatively thin characterization, the unsurprising plot development, and the "nonsensical" in the plot advancement are still somewhat flawed.

Holt Farrier: Don't be scared now; your momma's right outside.

Max Medici: Come on, time to go. We haven't got all day. Get that monkey on the train. The Medici Brothers' circus is taking off!
