Eastwood's Conservative Patriotism Textbook

The trailer is great. After watching it, I thought the movie would tell a deep and tangled war story. I look forward to it. Yesterday, I went to the cinema and found that it was so hot. Both were sold out. I looked at Big Eyes and returned disappointed. I booked the tickets in advance today, arrived early to pick a seat, and it turned out. . .

Films, whether photography, editing, or soundtrack, are all standard to death, and they are produced in a completely streamlined production line, not to mention it. In terms of narrative, the director seemed to be fascinated, and finished the story in chronological order without any highlight.

The male protagonist Chris Kyle is the most successful sniper in the history of the US military. He killed more than 160 people during his service. The script was adapted from his autobiography. It is conceivable that a Texas man who has been shooting guns and riding bulls since childhood can write books at what level? So influenced by it, the movie is full of cheap patriotism and the barbaric sentiment of man supremacy. Guns, bibles, cowboys, Texas, spirits, soldiers, spoiled wives, national flags, this film is a conservative ideological guide from beginning to end, and it is staggeringly naive. The grandfather took the father to hunt, and the father took the son to hunt; what the family said was the command of the chief; the wife was pregnant with the child, and the man opened his mouth and closed his mouth to be our son and our son, which made me nauseous. When the protagonist said, "I want to protect the greatest country in the world", the old American mother beside me laughed.

In order to neutralize the overwhelming male hormones, a lot of crappy emotional scenes are interspersed in the film. There is no head or tail. Basically, the male protagonist returned home and looked dead. The female protagonist cried and went to war again. Of course, as an old guy who had seven children with five women, East Wood obviously has no qualifications and ability to speak emotional drama. Now that the relationship has been spent, do you think he talks about morality and war? nor. The plot in the trailer passed by. The film repeatedly hinted that the male protagonist was suffering from PTSD, but he recovered the next day after chatting, and he immediately became a model daddy again, inexplicably.

The performance is worth mentioning. The fattened Cooper speaks with a Texas accent, adding a lot to the mediocre script. Sienna Miller was a fairly independent and individual character when she first appeared on the scene. She fell into trouble after she got married. Apart from crying, fucking her husband, giving birth to her husband, and saying "husband, I need you, how can we live without you?" There is basically no other effect besides, but her performance is a pity.

I have to say that Kliskell is a person who has broken away from low-level tastes, and his story is still pretty good, but it is sturdyly ruined by Eastwood. If Michael Bay makes a movie like this, I will give him a standing applause, but as a serious filmmaker, it is extremely disappointing to make such a mediocre work dominated by values. At the same age of 84, Godard continues to explore the essence of human thought and existence in movies, but Eastwood is still sparing no effort to compete with ideology. What are you doing?

  • Taya Renae Kyle: You're my husband, you're the father of my children. Even when you're here, you're not here. I see you, I feel you, but you're not here.

  • Taya Renae Kyle: If you think that this war isn't changing you you're wrong. You can only circle the flames so long.
