Unexpected spiritual journey

If you have a dream, then go out and show your enthusiasm to your heart's content;

if you don't have a dream, then go out too, you will see the vastness and tolerance of the world, and you will see the position that belongs to you.

This is my understanding of this movie when I think of it now.

"Motor Diary" is about the journey of the great Cuban revolutionary hero Che Guevara before he became a hero. The film shows a colorful, vivid and realistic South American style. At that time, there was no revolution, no feats, no ambitions, only two young people, old motorcycles, and a dream of crossing the American continent. They set off like this. That year, he was as old as me, 23 years old.

This is a movie that has nothing to do with revolution. It does not resemble our old-fashioned logic: young people have shown how easy it is for ordinary people to act because of their ears and eyes or living environment. How to accomplish great things. He is a handsome young man, a student who has not graduated from medical school, and an ordinary man with youthful impulses. He came into contact with the world with pure motives, but gradually matured in an uneasy journey. He realized the reality of the world and the continuous changes in his heart gave him a clear dream.

The times are different, our environment is completely different from that of Guevara. Of course, we don’t need to say that watching a movie arouses endless revolutionary enthusiasm and action. This is certainly not the director’s intention. But, especially, at the same age of 23, how many of our young people still have dreams about this world, and how many dreams do we have about this world?

No amount of words can describe the excitement in the heart after watching the movie. It is not the kind of excitement that will make you behave fiercely, but the shock brought by a freely galloping spiritual journey. As the movie conveyed: Let the world change you, and you can change the world.

All the people who have dreams, come to watch this movie, and you will be encouraged.

The world is so big, don’t give up your ideals, you will feel very happy to live.

  • Ernesto Guevara de la Serna: [voiceover] The goal: to explore a continent we had only known in books.

  • Alberto Granado: We land on the Guajira Peninsula. The tip of a great continent. Bellies full of wine and two tropical beauties, hopefully sisters.

    Ernesto Guevara de la Serna: That's good beer, huh?
