The movie is playing the banner of discussing the issue of euthanasia, but the audience will find that the movie actually centers on "death", which opens up discussions about "dignity," "love," and "self." Under the lens and dialogue full of poetic imagery, the film expresses the heaviness that recent films have not shown.

Ramon, the protagonist of "The Sea of Love", was quadriplegic, and it took twenty-eight years before he could walk on the road to death. The film still retains the traditional discussion about "euthanasia", such as from the perspective of "religion", discussing the rights and obligations of life, and for example, discussing the various influences caused by the love and burden of family and friends.

But "The Sea of Feelings" is not satisfied with traditional discussions, and does not emphasize simple and meaningless pros and cons. First, discuss the relationship between "self" and "other's gaze" from the subjectivity of "death". The selfless love of the family, the two confidantes Julia and Rosa opened their hearts because of Ramon. There is always infinite care beside him, but the important thing is: these cares always come with the attitude of "absolute authority." "Salvation" is their responsibility. They always believe that "love" and "caring" are positive behaviors for the victims. Therefore, Ramon's feelings are always "the feelings of the other," and his ego is all based on the eyes, expectations, and authority of others. So when he resists the care of others, he has actually lost his ego. And the definition of "love", in the face of suffering, death, and refusal of charity, has a fresh expression in "The Sea of Love": the coexistence of love and destruction, the key lies in the inseparable distance between you and me.

Ramon has repeatedly emphasized that letting him die is to truly love him. "Love" can be expressed in the two heroines. Rosa's love is demanded in the form of "supply". When she is frustrated, she always proves her luck with sympathy and generosity, so her love is returned. But Ramon gradually changed her. In the end, she knew that her love for Ramon was not true love. The scene of kissing her forehead (not kissing) at the end of the movie showed Rosa's awakening.

Julia and Ramon were sick and pitying each other. Julia turned Ramon offended by reading Ramon's feelings at will. Gradually, they smoked the same cigarette, which meant that their hearts could communicate with each other and truly understand each other’s feelings. In the end, Julia betrayed the promise made with Ramon. Dare not to die. The psychological characterization is quite outstanding. Later, Julia's amnesia meant that the survival of the body was meaningless, especially when the soul was long gone.

The film’s dialogue and shots are quite expressive, such as the bird’s-eye view of "flying to the ocean," with a wave of music; another example is Ramon leaving his hometown and seeing young people in love, crosses, animal mating, children, and old people along the way. It expresses the beauty of different stages in life; the fanfold of wind power generation finally takes a partial view and shows the surprise and mystery of life, full of dynamic and connotation. Another example is Ramon's father who said that "the child "chooses" to die" is the most sad thing. A heart-to-heart dialogue overwhelms all the debates about love, retribution, and rights.

The sea is the source of life, and at the same time expresses the breadth and tolerance of life. It is a mysterious natural force that cannot be named and can only be felt by imagination, but this force exists only in lonely individuals. So the English name of the movie is "The Sea inside"; and the height of "The Sea of Love" is also here.
