Sorry, I digress. Yes, my favorite of the whole movie is Minho, the Asian boy. Maybe Thomas has the protagonist aura, Newt is the most handsome, Teresa is the only girl, and Alby is the first person to step into the maze. But Minho is the most special person. He doesn't have the special status of those people before, at least at first I thought he was just a cannon fodder. I was very upset at the moment he gave up Alby and Thomas to run for his own life. I felt that it wasn't the protagonist. The results of it? When Gally denied Thomas, he was supporting; when all walkers gave up, he insisted; when Gally was in control, he and Newt, Chuck, and Teresa were still on Thomas' side. After all, Minho is not an unfeeling person, otherwise he would abandon Alby when he was injured, and he would not be trapped in the maze overnight.
In fact, Minho is the most capable person. Alby is dead, only he can remember all the structure of the maze. Without him, even if the protagonist's halo shines again, how does Thomas know the eight-digit code? Maybe this is the meaning of Minho's existence. Minho is a calm and introverted person. He has excellent physical strength and memory, but he doesn't want Gally to be the leader with these intentions. He always stands behind the leader. Alby first, then Thomas. Minho is not a leader or a strategist. If you compare the Seven Heroes and Five Righteousnesses, Bao Zheng, Gongsun Ce and Zhan Zhao, Minho is probably Zhan Zhao, armed and wise, but willing to stand behind you. Perhaps the metaphor is not appropriate, but Minho is such a character.
I haven't read the original book, and I don't know if Minho in the second part and the third part is a decent or a villain. If I were to predict, he is probably the most loyal person in the protagonist team.
So I just like Minho, that Asian boy.
