Nicholas Cage hasn’t made a good movie for a long time. I heard that this is a good one, so I ran to download it, huh, it’s not a bad movie, although it’s not amazingly good-looking, but it’s already crying compared to before. Ghostly progress has been made. Hollywood has always been good at making stories about salvation. The male protagonist, Joe, is a person with a history of alcoholism, doing the evil of helping big companies poison trees, and harshly exploiting this black worker... The 15-year-old boy who was responsible for his family appeared. He worked hard to take care of his mother and sister. Also fight against the alcoholic father. The boy changed the protagonist. The protagonist bought a new car and started to move towards a new life, but the police always came to find faults, and the bad guys always came to make trouble. The protagonist picked up the gun and got rid of all the obstacles that prevented the boy from going to a new life and killed him. Two bad guys, the alcoholic father jumped off the bridge and died, Joe also died, leaving the boy with his favorite broken car, and showing him the way to plant trees. Joe killed the tree, the boy planted a tree, a reincarnation, Joe died, and continued to live on the boy...artistic film, you can watch it if you are not afraid of being bored...

Joe quotes

  • Joe: Ah, the dog likes you.

Gary: She has a lot of scars.

Joe: Yeah, but all the others... all the others is dead.

  • [last lines]

Farmer: Then, if everything goes good on that acreage, I'll have you help me supervise the Manea project next summer. Old bastards can be hard to work for sometimes, but, hell, if you worked for Joe, I think you'll do just fine. You got any questions?

Gary: No, sir. When can I start?

Farmer: Right now, if you're ready.

    Gary: Yes, sir.

    [extends his hand to shake]

    Gary: So, you knew Joe?

Farmer: Yeah, sure did. Joe's a good man. Good man to me, anyways.

Gary: He was a good man to me, too.
