"The Past" is slightly dull and trivial

Compared with "A Farewell" which is light and meaningful, "The Past" is a bit dull and trivial. The
works of the same Iranian director Asha Fahadi are so original and authentic to present social reality. The shock brought by "A Farewell" is more intuitive and deeper-the babysitter asks whether it is in accordance with the doctrine before changing the pants for the elderly, lying is considered heinous, and would rather not cheat huge amounts of compensation...The class disparity, faith loyalty Struggle with human nature and hit people's hearts directly. "The Past" seems to have a taste of "the past is an old trace", but a divorce procedure, the "butterfly effect" stirred up all kinds of pain and entanglement from adults to children, can the "past" become a "old trace" , Seems to be still between the two.

After "A Farewell", the director brought the story to France. The characters had too many dialogues to make people feel a little "talkative". Asghar Farhadi, who had lost his religious color, was not as profound as before.

Although the dramatic conflict is more deliberate, Fahati's paving of the details of life is really admirable.
