Strong Norwegian flavor

Looking at the stories filmed by the Norwegians with the heart of watching American nautical movies, it is inevitable that they will not move high, and they can’t get nervous when they should be nervous. There was a group of sharks and everyone fell in. According to traditional thinking, you have to eat them without killing them. The arms and legs fell off, but the two of them came up without any damage. They didn't fall into the thrilling and serious injuries of traditional sailing. Fortunately, they were not enough to abuse them. . . When the characters should be in conflict before, the American blockbuster scrambled together early. The two men killed each other with their eyes for a few seconds, and it was over. It really complied with the slow and gentle character of the Norwegian.
The fun thing is to hear Norwegian English again! I used to say things very seriously, but I think it is humorous

It's mediocre, but it's not successful, especially in front of "Youth School", the visual spectacle of this film is basically not worth mentioning, the artistic conception is too straightforward, and the appeal is average. The victory lies in the psychological portrayal and the atmosphere management is still in place.

Compared with the fantastic juvenile PI, this is a real and awesome adventure story. It's a pity that the director made the sea part too boring.

Kon-Tiki quotes

  • Thor Heyerdahl: I've heard that drowning is the best way to die.

Erik Hesselberg: Well, not exactly. You might manage for a minute, until you breathe out of reflex. Your lungs fill with water, you choke. and the acid created by the salt water in your stomach makes it feel like you burn up inside. And it makes your heart kick in, forcing you to breathe again - more water. You lose control, and then you finally die. All in all, three or four minutes.

Thor Heyerdahl: Hold on. What about my life flashing past?

Erik Hesselberg: Yeah, that's the worst part.

    [both chuckle]

  • Liv Heyerdahl: Did not you know that the first Polynesians came from the west? Imagine to paddle all the way from Asia against the current.
