I have a lot of dissatisfaction with this second part, because the potential plot has already been spread out at the end of the first part, but the second part is almost useless.
For example, in the first part, the black boss waiting for the hero to steal the diamonds and the rescued little girl, etc., are not mentioned in the second part. Instead, she made a second protagonist, a girl with hearing problems, and wasted some time saying that she had experienced a car accident in her childhood. Even, he paid special attention to the details of bringing her hearing aids. Then, I thought, the director must have made the hearing aid "function" in the later plot, or would ambush a reversal burden on the girl's hearing. The girl has defeated the night demon through this weakness. However, the following plot proved that I was thinking too much. The plot just arranged for the girl’s hearing aid to fall into the trap, and then the girl went all out to pick it up, and it was done in less than 5 minutes. Later, the girl followed everyone all the way to death. Hu Zhan Yao Shimo never mentioned the hearing aid matter again.
This kind of "turning a blind eye" has also happened miraculously on the hero. In order to open the iron door, the protagonist broke the hand that was originally tied with plaster and took a simple bundle of cloth strips. In the final duel with the Night Demon, he even ignored the pain of the "fracture" and beat the Night Demon to the core.
Also, those so-called "rescuers" were also bluffing. None of them had practical value. They were basically hung up after a few shots, and they said they had brought all their weapons on, but they didn’t open them when they arrived in the den of the Daredevil. After a gun, the bullets are gone, even the classic prop "Grenade".
Of course, movies are originally entertainment and cannot be too real, and there are many illogical aspects in this series. However, the director still has to pay attention to the basic plot logic when shooting, and don't perfuse us horror movie fans.
Then at the end of the first part, the male lead was captured alive by the domineering night demon, leaving the wife, daughter and gang to wait. I have been wondering whether this second plot can be like this, the gangsters go to find the male lead, and then the gang boss and the night demon do it. Or maybe another happy family was tortured and killed by the Night Demon, and after the resistance all died, the body of the first male protagonist appeared at the end, which has been made into a specimen. This is a very interesting echo to the first one. .
It's a pity that the creators of the second part didn't think so, they went back to their old line of "Chain Saw"-style maze breakthrough. If you are a big fan of "Chain Saw", then you are blessed. In the second part, you will find more familiar sections, but they are not fun enough, the traps are not detailed enough, and the layout is even messy. (Although I am a fan of bloody films, I have never liked "Saw Cry". I always feel that this series looks pretty ridiculous but actually quite bluffing.)
The first part of "Night Demon" I like is " The "cat and mouse" plot, supernormal but powerful and imaginative trap design, the scene of bloody violence and dew point makes people hooked.
And the second part is a "secret room escape" in an abandoned factory building, a trap that you don’t give up if you don’t play to death, and a torture of blood and blood, crying father and mother, and increasing the number of people entering the barrier. The exaggeration of the trap has weakened the atmosphere of horror and despair, making me as an audience always lack the feeling of "heartbeat to my throat".
Compared to "Dark Devil 2", I feel "Dark Devil 1" is more nervous and desperate in the plot. The first scene is set in a house in the suburbs, and the family is tortured and killed. This design is more practical. point. Although all kinds of traps are exaggerated and illogical, the director is tight, the plot is tight, and the actors are engaged. In particular, the protagonist and the night monster play the "Three Forks" in the room, which makes the horror film that has been routine suddenly very bright.
In the second part, the scene is set in an abandoned hotel, which is also the base camp of the Night Demon. The setting of the hotel can refer to the trap base in "Saw Cry". Moreover, the director was always reluctant to explain the layout of the entire hotel. The audience was completely taken away by the actors. They suddenly went to the autopsy room, suddenly went to the specimen room, and suddenly went to the "kennel room". Didn't figure out the layout of this hotel. The director was also afraid that the enthusiastic audience would go to the shooting site to inspect the scene, and in the end he simply burned the night monster's cave. I deeply believe that this set was used in "Chain Saw" back then, only the surface decoration was changed.
The second part also puzzled me a little. The first part did not describe too much about the creation of the night demon. It was the finishing touch. This is a hunter with no background, brave, fearless, perverted and no lower limit. The more so, the more successful the horror image of Night Demon. In the second part, the creators also spared no effort to show the corpses of the Night Demon base, various pieces of human deformity specimens, rough but still domineering traps, and a batch of "zombie men" he developed. : Cut off a person’s tongue, cook the brain, and inject a certain drug to turn a person into a “zombie”. (I don't know if there is any scientific basis) In short, I regard these as elements that are shaping the image of the sturdy "Night Demon".
But at the end, the male protagonist was arranged to find the night monster who had escaped from the dead, and told the audience that he was an entomologist. Although the face of the Night Demon is not shown, the "beer belly" that the Night Demon has been appearing in the camera completely betrays his image as a wretched uncle, and the male protagonist easily subdued the Night Demon. Would you like this?
At the end of the second part, he should continue to lock the male lead in the cabinet! But now this is so easily subdued, the male protagonist even threatened to oppose him to abuse him, really ruined the image of the sturdy and domineering Night Demon, see how you shoot the third part? (Initially I still suspected that he was one of the movers in the first
movie .) By the way, the night demon was also arranged to shoot with a gun in the film, which is really weak. Have you ever seen Jason with a gun? Even when people go to outer space, they always use knives to hack at them. This is not changing their true colors, and the Daredevil's gun skills are so poor that he barely shot a few shots, which is really ruining the image.
Anyway, I think it's still the first one to look good.
