Abandon the rebellion and leave the vitality-a small impression of "Full of Strength"

Thanks to Brother Yi, if it hadn't been for him to take me to the client's office, I hadn't had a chance to catch a glimpse of this "Full of Strength". Although it was only a few sporadic shots, it made me look for this film as soon as I went home. The film was released in 2011 (a remake of the film of the same name in 1984), but it tells a story around the 1980s. The original name is "Footloose", which is literally translated as "relaxed, free and unrestrained", but I really think the Chinese translation of the name It is more charming, showing the vitality and energy of young people at a glance.
The plot of the story is extremely simple. It probably means that Lun McCormack, a young man in a big city, accidentally came to a small town called Beaumont, but didn’t want this seemingly peaceful town to prohibit parties and dancing. The infinite McCormack was really unacceptable. Finally, with the encouragement and help of his friends, he broke through the tradition, made the town lively again, and gained love and friendship at the same time. The film belongs to the traditional American youth song and dance film genre, and the plot basically includes all the elements of this type of film: fighting, drag racing, love, singing and dancing, etc.
Frankly speaking, there is nothing new in the plot setting of the film, it can even be said to be old-fashioned, because the author guessed the ending after reading the beginning, but this is not what I want to say. The feeling that this film brings to me is just two words-vitality. Although the male protagonist Len McCormack suffered family changes (the father left irresponsibly when he was very young, and the mother who depended on each other also passed away due to illness). He always loves life, he is energetic, enthusiastic, and has endless energy, but what is even more rare is that he also has his own bottom line and principles. He will not smoke marijuana for stimulation, nor will he just look for girls because of temptation. When you are sad, you will not hurt others, will not admit defeat, dare to try and break the tradition, but also pay attention to methods. For a young person, this is simply unattainable. The title "Enthusiasm" is derived from the protagonist.
Compared with the male protagonist, the female protagonist Ariel is a bit more complicated. She plays a good girl in front of her parents, but she has rebelliousness and unruly in her bones. She was once confused and thought that stimulation was everything, so she chose the bold and sturdy driver Chuck at the beginning. Rely on this passion to numb yourself. Later, I met McCormack. From the initial curiosity to gradually attracted by him, she finally realized the reality, knew what she wanted, no longer escaped, and faced herself calmly, and finally opened the knot with her father and gained a lot. The love of McCormack.
I have to say, Willard, McCormack’s good friend, I think this is a man’s friendship. The first time you meet, you have to quarrel and make trouble a little bit unpleasant, but as long as you reach out to each other, this is friendship. At the beginning, then there is a simple and direct sympathy-maybe I disagree with you, don't understand you, but I must understand you, agree with you, support you (of course, occasionally I will hack you in good faith), this is the meaning of brothers.
Finally, I have to say that Xiao (Ariel’s father), the actor Dennis Quaid was too handsome when he was young (now he is still the representative of handsome uncle), but unfortunately he has not much room to play in this film. As a leader of the old school, he was the first to propose the ban on dancing, and the whole film has basically been stern. However, time and practice have proved that avoiding problems and suppressing emotions can not solve anything, but will only make things worse, even for the pastor Xiao, who is a spiritual leader. In the end, under the persuasion of the male protagonist McCormack and his wife, he reflected on his behavior and tried to let go. While canceling the bill, his heart was also released and smiled again.
The whole film is not so much a song and dance film, I prefer to see it as a youth growth film. Of course, the film is not perfect. The male protagonist's settings are too perfect and basically have no flaws. In addition, some plot settings are also lacking in rationality, but this film can still bring us many positive things, and it also reminds us of the young and lush years. . Everyone has been young, and there have been times when they were confused and at a loss, but being young should not be a reason for rebellion, escape and indulgence. Precisely because of being young, it is necessary to move forward courageously, dare to try, and hold the bottom line. This is the character that young people should have. Young people can make mistakes, but they should not give up the motivation to pursue and move forward. I have always admired people who have always been strict with themselves. This is both a role model and motivation. Maybe we are no longer young after many years, but we can still be elegant and fashionable, healthy and energetic, running to see the world, jubilant Talk about the past and the future!

Because it was cold that day, because the cupcakes were delicious, because there were almost all freshmen sitting next to him in the big classroom, because he picked me up when he came out, because I liked him

★★★☆The boyfriend of the male protagonist who can't dance looks a bit like his father who must die, and his beige car looks good too! Except for dancing, other things are the same thing. After all, this kind of thing is aimed at male and female appearance, inspirational, and so on. It is a recreational film.

Footloose quotes

  • Ariel Moore: I can see how that works out for you, just blame everything on Ren. Just like you blamed everything on Bobby.

    Rev. Shaw Moore: What?

Ariel Moore: Bobby spent his whole life trying to make you proud. He made good grades, he went to church every Sunday and God help him because he made one mistake. Now nobody remembers the good things about Bobby, all they remember is that damn accident! Why don't we have a school dance? It's because of Bobby! Why do we have this stupid curfew? Because of Bobby! Bobby is to blame for all this bullshit!

Rev. Shaw Moore: You lower your voice! Talk in a civil tongue!

Ariel Moore: What? Isn't this my church? Isn't it? Isn't this where we're supposed to talk about our problems? It's been three damn years, so why don't we start talking?

  • Ren MacCormack: It's country line dancing; it's a white man's wet dream!
