Watching the movie Don’t Be Afraid of the Darkness in the middle of the night, the plot of the movie feels that the horror atmosphere is not very horrible, and it feels that the elf is playing like a mouse in the dark night playing with the naive and childish little girl. The girl’s father may only care about his career and doesn’t know the haunting in the house, but the girl’s father’s new girlfriend is concerned about the weird elves that appear at night and investigates the reason why the mysterious elves can eat people, but in the end the girl’s father doesn’t give much help. His girlfriend was swallowed by the elves and became a part of them. This may be in line with the little girl's wish, because she didn't like her father's new stepmother at the beginning and unconsciously opened the door to darkness.
