The gun without bullets

is a calm end, even if there are gunshots everywhere. There was no bullet in the killer's pistol. The image of Jeff (Arandron) is "cool" in the current language, not only handsome, but it is not a youth idol drama. Jeff must be alone, as a killer he has no choice. A woman appeared in his life and was considered happy, the only woman he could trust. Except for the woman, there was only one bird with him. The bird should fly freely, but was kept in a cage. This is the same situation as Jeff.

People are used to keeping watchdogs, but Jeff is an exception. For the killer, a dog has too many goals and looks clumsy. Birds are relatively light, and keen people are accustomed to agile movements. Of course, this is based on human sensitivity. Too many shots were given to birds flying around in the cage: the police put a bug in Jeff's house. Opening the door with the key and the nervousness of the bird switch between the two sets of scenes; the other time is when Jeff returned home, and the bird smashed wildly in the cage. This is visual, and at the same time the sharp cry of the bird makes the viewer feel a kind of oppressive and tense situation. It is the bird that reminds the owner of the danger in the home.

Once the killer exposes himself, the danger becomes greater and greater. Although Jeff can swiftly escape the police tracking and prepare for his second murder, he still has to be surrounded at the final destination, and even the final death. His principle of doing things will not be fully understood by others. When he finally parted with his girlfriend, he only said that he could handle everything well, but in fact he could not come back alive, nor would he leave the burden to others before he died.

A killer ends with "not killing", which becomes a kind of sadness. He had put on the white gloves before the murder, and the gun was in his hand, but the gunshots came from elsewhere, and Jeff was killed by the police. Why is there no bullet in his gun? Is it because the female pianist in front of him didn't identify him in the police sentence? But after all, this pianist was also one of the people who murdered him. Maybe this is his principle. We can see that Jeff made the decision suddenly before the action. Before entering the Marty Club, the camera specially gave Jeff's pistol. The revolver was full of bullets, but then he changed his mind. Although there were bullets in his gun, he still couldn't escape the end of death. But whether there are bullets in the gun tells a person's inner world.

There is a passage in the film that comes from the spirit of Bushido. In fact, there is no such emphasis, and the film will not lose its brilliance. After all, the language of the film has been richer than the power of the text itself, even if the text has already explained a certain spirit.

Jeff Costello: I was told I'd be paid.

Valérie: What did he do to you?

Jeff Costello: Nothing at all. I didn't even know him. The first and last time I saw him was 24 hours ago.
