The death of American humor

Compared to the original high-quality British humor, the remake is too far behind!
With a gentlemanly calm and self-deprecating, how can this be imitated by the Hollywood assembly line!
Every character in the original version has a play, including the pastor of Liao Liao Jiyu is funny (in order to hurry up, the final speech speed is faster than the good voice of China · Hua Shao).
Although there are many stars in this film, compared with the British actors who play the same role, the American actors are just playing soy sauce and purely funny.

In addition, as a remake, the plot is completely copied from the original version, and there are few useful innovations, but a few steps backwards. To put it nicely, it is called "loyal to the original", and the awkward point is "water-injected knockoffs." The intricacies, intrigues, and undercurrents of the big family have become unscrupulous and straightforward gags. But even the lines are almost copied, which is a bit too much. I really don't know the meaning of such a remake!

For such a movie dominated by group dramas, how to grasp and balance each character is a test of the director's skill. The appearance of the original characters is orderly, and at the same time their personalities are clearly explained, and the audience can quickly enter the play. In comparison, the characters in the US version ran out in a hurry, without clarifying the relative relationship, and switched to the next scene. I was confused, and I had to revisit the original version to straighten out the relationship between the characters.
For example, in the appearance of an otaku medical student, the original version used nearly ten shots, including a long shot, to show his process of making drugs, selling drugs on the phone, and explaining the nature of the drugs. It succinctly expresses his identity and the origin of the medicine bottle; the US version is just simple The plot of opening the door in his underwear was copied, three or two shots were passed, and it also included the part where he played video games. The following very critical drug-taking plot is unclear, and the character of medical students is not involved. This is exactly the habit of Hollywood, thinking that taking a few pictures of playing games and underwear at home can reflect the characteristics of an otaku. But the shaping of the characters can't be done in such a way that they can be finished and facialized, and the otaku and the otaku are not the same. The original version uses fluent long shots and continuous lines to show that this is an academic otaku walking like a fish between medical students and home-produced drug dealers. This was a contrast to the fact that he was so frustrated after his pill bottle caused a catastrophe, and he laughed frequently. Obviously, the US version is not based on telling good stories to create characters, but only taking off underwear and other gimmicks to play. The inattentiveness of the director and screenwriter can be seen here.
Or look at the ending. From the climax (the eldest son makes a speech) to the ending, the original version was completed in just two short scenes, neat and tidy. The first scene: Two sons, you come and I have a three-sentence dialogue showing reconciliation + the eldest daughter-in-law joins and leads the uncle to eat "Stability"; the second scene is only 5 seconds: the uncle sits naked on the roof and mutters "Everything's so FUCKing" green!"-The End. The US version is much more wordy: first, go to the exterior of the main house, and then go back to the room for dozens of rounds of reconciliation dialogues (including farewell, watching Lakers games and other localized nonsense), and then grandiosely introduce the beauty of Xiangche (black Loli), the eldest daughter-in-law joins and hugs (suddenly affectionately and cannot bear the separation), the second son rushes to the beauties + beautiful smiles; the scene switches at the end, the eldest son and daughter-in-law whisper ambiguously, and prepare to make a human battle (very embarrassing) The innovative plot), finally led to the uncle's "stability"! In the end, the uncle also used three shots and two lines, including an unnecessary facial close-up, to end the whole film. It's too long.
It can be seen from the above that the remake has avoided the advantages and characteristics of the original version, and developed a little irrelevant plot and a lot of American garbage humor. In addition, the detailed reduction and the slight increase have made a comedy with a good foundation and a wonderful group drama into a painless and not painful, specializing in the next three-way A goods platter.

In addition to the issue of choreography, actors are also one of the root causes of failure: they are basically all of their personalities, but most of them do not match the roles, which leads to the fuzzy personality of the roles they play. In other words, Chris Rock is still the allegro with sharp-mouthed monkey cheeks in Dogma, not the loyal brother of the house; Martin Lawrence is also the funny transgender policeman in Big Momma's House, not a sincere best-selling author (the original version only consisted of him and a beautiful woman). A picture of the chat, the new version has turned into a sex mania, baby teeth control!); Zoe Saldana is still the blue-blooded girl of the Avatar planet, not a pregnant woman who is caught between a strict father and a weak husband; Luke Wilson He’s still a habitual hexagonal cheeky face (the second brother of The Family Stone, the foolish boyfriend in My Super Ex-Girlfriend, the brain-dead prophet of Henry Poole Is Here, the pig-headed boss of Blond Ambition), rather than trying to pursue true love. Unidentified off-line crazy man; James Marsden is still that silly little white face. So what we see is not the role, but only the actors themselves, or some "stars".
Only one actor did not change-the dwarf Peter Dinklage who caused the main contradiction. It's a pity that even this character didn't reach the level of the original version. It just added more body dramas and more explicit lines such as "I sacrificed a lot to make him happy". As a special actor, he took the same role twice, and it is estimated that he is really short of money.

The only advantage of the adaptation is that it may only change from white to black, but unfortunately it does not have the characteristics of a black family at all; the
only highlight of the adaptation is that the naked person may be more handsome and seductive, but it is also a vase for men~
