Transvestite performers Ben Lina (Terence Stamp) and Mitch (Hugo Weaving) reunited because of the death of a close friend. Mitch was given the opportunity to perform in a city in central Australia and invited Ban Lina to go with Felicity. (Guy Pearce) asked for a partner to realize the dream of "Queen of the Desert" and borrowed a modified bus as a means of transportation. The three of them embarked on a violent journey. The elderly Ban Lina Yulu kept secrets from the past, and had a lot of trivial quarrels with the young and restless Felicie, while Mitch fell into memories of her marriage from time to time. They showed up in the small towns they passed along the way, and got a lot of shocked eyes, of course, there were also praises. Because of a breakdown, the old repairman bus, who was unforgettable for Ban Lina's past performance, was able to join them on their journey. The crowd finally arrived at their destination. Although the audience was not very enthusiastic, Mickey finally saw her son, and Ban Lina decided to be with her mother...

The scene of fluttering skirts on the roof of the car in the desert is really amazing. Bernadette turned out to be the most complete and moving character. Felicia’s childhood story can’t be too great, bravo!

[Taiwan Queer Film Festival Screening] I didn't expect that Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce actually acted in pseudo-mother-themed movies in their early years, and there is almost no sense of disobedience in the coquettish style of men disguising as women. It was really crazy and uninhibited, laughing and scolding, and showing anger, and the audience clapped and laughed many times. BGM is a super classic track. The movie shows the self-identity and inner world of the practitioners of the masquerade dance and dance, but it feels that the depth is not enough, and the ending can be improved.
