Relying on magic, it looks like a horror, but it actually tells the story of a child growing up.

Faced with family changes, the death of both parents is a catastrophe for the teenager.

The teenager came to his uncle's house, faced with the new environment, full of fear and unknown.

When I arrive at the new school, in such a lonely psychological world, I need a friend to express my heart. Friends are so precious and rare.

Freak! Usually, it is a guy who is not so popular at school and has his own insights, but in an environment that is incompatible with the public, he has become a freak, an incompatible alternative, and has become a target of campus bullying.

All of these have created a depressing childhood for teenagers.

This is a movie that you can know the end when you watch it from the beginning. It is also a model movie. The teenager faces difficulties, bravely overcomes difficulties, gains courage, lets go of inner ties, bravely challenges campus bullying, and gains friendship. It's all routines.

However, the finished film seems a bit unsuitable. It’s a bit scary for teenagers, and a bit mentally retarded for adults

In the growth of adolescents, their perspective is different from that of adults. For children in adversity, self-salvation is truly powerful.

After two days of tiring, I finally had a good meal and watched a movie with my friends, and gave Ohuatian an extra star.

The story is too simple, the special effects are not bad.

The House with a Clock in Its Walls quotes

  • Lewis Barnavelt: But, Uncle Jonathan, don't I have to have dinner before I'm allowed to have cookies?

Jonathan Barnavelt: Well, why not just eat cookies for dinner? They're far more delicious.

Lewis Barnavelt: I know. It's just, we had these house rules.

Jonathan Barnavelt: Well, not in this house. There's no bedtime, bath-time or meal-time. You can eat cookies till you throw up for all I care. You'll see. Things are quite different here.

  • Mrs. Zimmerman: [talking to Lewis, about Isaac Izard] All he said was he was lost in the Black Forest. Now, that is a very old place with very old magic. It's where the Brothers Grimm wrote their histories.
