Impressions of Stargate Universe Episode 1-2

After watching episodes 1-2, the style of Stargate in the series has become darker and more humane compared to the previous two. No longer is the protagonist so perfect like SG1 and Atlantis, the struggle between people has become the focus. This should be a story of a group of lonely human beings living in the boundless space. The coexistence between people has become the biggest attraction.
In the first episode, the one who impressed me the most was Dr. Rush. His personality is quite complicated. Frankly speaking, I think this role is still very successful. I like to see the inconsistency between his words and actions. However, what he thinks in his heart still depends on the follow-up development.
Since the star field reached by the spacecraft is so far away from the Milky Way galaxy, according to the inside statement, it is a billion light-years away, I don’t think it will be like Atlantis, where there are many humans living on every alien planet. . In fact, I really don’t like the English speaking of so many aliens on Pegasus in Atlantis. I hope that in this series, I can see many different alien species, rather than simple apes.

Everett Young: [briefing Lt. General Jonathan "Jack" O'Neill] These are the wrong people, in the wrong place...

Matthew Scott: [to Dr. Rush] We've got a lot of wounded. We need to get home.

Dr. Nicholas Rush: [to Colonel Everett Young] We barely have enough power to operate the main systems. This ship simply doesn't have the capability to dial Earth.
