Carver's Recreation

Don’t assume that the film has a comedy tone just because it’s starring Will Ferrell. In fact, "Big Sale" does not completely break away from the sad and helpless atmosphere of Carver’s original work. It is as simple as Carver’s novel, without a beginning or an end. Only give you a blank space for free imagination. Perhaps the novel with no head and no tail brings readers a sense of panic and helplessness of nowhere to go, while a film infused with flesh and blood adds warmth to this foundation, although the re-creation of the film is contrary to the novel. An unemployed, alcoholic protagonist, his direction is not like Cage in "Far from Casino", but a different situation. Will Ferrell's performance also makes the adaptation of the film full of persuasiveness, a brand new creation.
