seasons of love

A group of typical marginalized people, a group of people who do not conform to people's traditional values, strippers, drug addicts, homosexuals, bisexuals, transvestites, and AIDS. "Rent" is about the conflict between such a group of people and the mainstream society.
Human beings have struggled with fate from birth, but some people have struggled more violently. "Born to be equal" is indeed more like empty talk, but there is no doubt that everyone has the right to live. The struggle of these marginalized people to survive for themselves is indeed respectable. But the businessman is not a philanthropist, after all, do you want him to buy this piece of land and say to everyone, "Let's live, no rent." It seems unlikely. Unfortunately, this contradiction cannot be reconciled, so the struggle will continue.
What is awe-inspiring is their attitude to life. A group of people who unite and love each other live happily together, demonstrating the greatness of love to the world. The wealth of the soul is the most important.
I don’t have much contact with Broadway musicals, so when I first watched it, I was really not used to talking and singing. But later, it was discovered that music with a plot is very attractive, and this kind of attraction is not available in popular songs. Maybe this is the reason why MV is so popular now.

Rent quotes

  • Roger Davis: [sung] All your words are nice Mimi but love's not a three-way street.

  • Maureen: [sung] I've gotta get outta here! It's like I'm being tied to the hood of a yellow rental truck being packed in with fertilizer, and fuel oil. Pushed over a cliff by a suicidal Mickey Mouse. I've gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta gotta find a way... to jump over the moon.
