Lovely town

This is a very relaxed and humorous science fiction suspense TV series. An interesting story of a sheriff who is a bit funny and loves to act personal heroism in a high-tech town composed of a large number of high IQ scientists.

This small town called Eureka may seem ordinary, but in fact it was established by Einstein persuaded the government since World War II to gather the world's greatest scientists to do research and live in it. However, when the somewhat unlucky Federal Attorney Jack Carter drove home with his teenage offender’s daughter Zoe, he had a small accident and was stranded in Eureka, and helped the local area solve some problems. As a result, he was lucky to get a chance to be promoted. Sent to Eureka to become a sheriff.

In Eureka, the sheriff with "normal" IQ encountered strange people and strange things. Some car repairers might be spacecraft mechanics + coroners, and the innkeeper might even consult the president. Psychologists, children can also calculate strange mathematical formulas, even a dog can have IQ130. Of course, there are all kinds of weird inventions, such as doomsday machines that can warp time, artificial intelligence-type houses that also imprison people, inexplicable dead-light weapons, and so on.

Like all American dramas, this movie can't escape the inherent modes and shooting techniques. There is always some love and family affection, and there is always a hidden final boss that does not let the audience know, and an indispensable secret conspiracy is included. But more comedy elements really make this TV series more attractive, especially those scientists who have super high IQ but not very good EQ, always make troubles but laugh at them without customizing anything. The protagonist Jack Carter is also like a little awkward older child. I like the scene where 4 old men in sixties come back out of the rivers and lakes at the end of the sixth episode. It is so visual.

If human technology really reaches this level, everything seems to be easier, but it also seems to lead to bigger problems. Season 2 has come out and is looking forward to it.
