"Seeing": Visible mortals, invisible gods and demons

Recently, many original dramas have been launched on Apple TV. Among them, the one that has attracted the most attention from domestic audiences is "See", which is translated as "See" in Chinese. The reason why it has attracted the most attention is that the lead actor of the show is the familiar Jason Momoa, the horse king in "Game of Thrones", and the protagonist of "Sea King", this time it is also called blind in "See". King, or blind king.

This jokingly claims to be related to the setting of the play, and the setting of the play also adds extra points. In the future world, due to a virus disaster, the population has dropped to only one million, and the surviving humans have lost their eyesight and can only survive in other ways. After years of development, vision has become a heresy. One day a pair of twins with sight is born, the waves are surging, all forces appear on the stage, and an inevitable revolution is taking place.

At first glance, this setting seems to be an ordinary apocalyptic drama. Twins with sight will easily rule the continent and become the emperor who will lead mankind to glory again. But after watching the first three episodes, I found out that the problem caused by an anti-the-sky setting is that there are many BUGs and chaotic logic. Even because of some inexplicable abilities, it makes people feel that this is a fantasy drama. Let's talk about the characters first.

Ordinary level: stronger than ordinary humans, possessing certain special abilities, but not irreplaceable

Sniffing: Affected by the lack of vision, the sense of smell has evolved supernormally, and there are obvious coverings on both ends of the nose, which may be to enhance the sense of smell. It can distinguish different species and even smell the natural environment such as silt and reeds.

Hearing the Wind (Ayuras): Affected by non-sightedness, hearing is super-evolved. Hearing can be used to distinguish the approximate number and species of distant enemies, but too many may not be accurate to the individual.

Perceiver: Affected by the lack of vision, they have evolved the ability to sense and can feel the emotions and thinking of people in the distance. To be honest, this ability is the most nonsense to me. Losing eyesight can give people the ability to sense other people's thoughts. Those who don't know think they are watching X-Men.

Witch Hunter: Those who hunt down heretics and cults will destroy the village once they are targeted by the Witch Hunter.

Elite: Has one or several abilities, cannot be replaced, behavior may affect the plot trend

Jason Momoa played the "honest man" Babaworth, passive skill: let everyone call him father. The tribal leader of Aikenni Village has strong comprehensive abilities and top physical quality. Active Skills: Bloodthirsty, once turned on, it will become extremely calm, extremely bloodthirsty, fierce shots, mobility is further enhanced, incarnation becomes a horrible existence. The battle of the Bone Tower in the third episode proved to some extent that the bloodthirsty Babaworth was not something ordinary people could deal with.

The disadvantage is that the intelligence is not too strong, not to mention the brave but the lack of strategy, reckless, indecisive. Wife and children are its weakness.

Tamaki Jun: General Witch Hunter. Courageous, vicious, vicious, and sacrificed a few soldiers to break down Aikenni Village. The only weakness is his loyalty to Queen Kane. It is speculated that there will be a duel with Babaworth in the later stage.

Shadow: A unique existence at the moment. The movements are light and can move around the crowd without being noticed.

BOSS level: the key person who decides the direction of the plot

Queen Kane, who likes to be naked and masturbating, strongly suspects that she has serious SM tendencies and is vicious. Had an unusual relationship with Geramarell. The overlord of one party, the Witch Hunter, is under his control, and it is likely to be the final boss of the first season.

Hidden BOSS: Geramarell, with good eyesight, should have a leg with Queen Coen, suspected that she chose to escape because she couldn't stand her unsatisfied sexual desire. It is said that she killed Queen Kane's sister. At present, it seems that there is no special ability except that the descendants of his birth will inherit his good eyesight.

Growing BOSS: Twins born to Geramarell and Magra, male: Kefeng, female: Haniva. It is foreseeable that these two children are not just as simple as having eyesight, and most of the future plots will revolve around the twins. However, due to the young age, it will obviously take some time to grow up to have the right to speak.

After speaking, the characters will spit out the plot and setting. In fact, there is no big slot in the plot. From the perspective of the first three episodes, the progress is not fast but it is definitely not slow. Most of the characters have already appeared, and there is no shortage of highlights in each episode. It's just that the world view setting is too far-fetched, so it gives people a feeling of inexplicable plot.

First of all, I think the biggest bug is the fault of civilization. Although there is no clear concept of time, it can be roughly judged from the clues that the timeline is about 200 years after humans lost their vision after experiencing the virus extinction event. In 200 years, human civilization has ceased to exist, vision has even become a heresy, and people talk about it.

In my opinion, this idea is a bit extreme. Even if people lose their eyesight, even if the population drops to less than one million, but civilization has not been passed down, it is ridiculous that vision becomes a heresy. It is more likely that vision becomes a miracle rather than a heresy. Because human beings fell because they lost sight, not because they lost sight.

Look at the unreasonable character design. After losing sight, human beings have not only not become weaker, but have evolved various abilities, some abilities are even like super powers, and some people are not weaker than people with sound eyes. For example, Babaworth, comparable to Daredevil.

There is nothing wrong with this alone. However, the blind became stronger than normal people, which greatly weakened the sense of threat brought by the normal-sighted Kefeng and Haniva, and the two of them became more embarrassing existence. Unless they are allowed to show more skills later, there is really no way to explain it.

Of course, some of the shots in "See" are quite extra points. Tebi is a vision about the environment, very beautiful and shocking, showing us the ultimate release of the natural environment and revealing ourselves without human beings. Some wide-angle lenses also give us a better understanding of the bleakness of the end times.

The final action design of the third episode is also very brilliant, let us know that the screenwriter has not forgotten that this is a blind dominated play. Using the knife in his hand, water trails on the ground, misleading sound and other methods, he finally fought like a blind man. The action scenes are fast, accurate, and ruthless, with deadly moves, and go straight to the enemy's vital points.

In general, "See" can continue to wait and see. The first three episodes are constantly digging holes, so it's not good to make comments. If you can properly handle the relationship between the characters in the later stage, and fill the holes reasonably, this will definitely be a rare good drama. However, judging from past experience, these kinds of dramas tend to dig deeper and deeper, but they do not fill in the gap. One day the audience accidentally stepped on the void, I am afraid they will not be in the mood to continue chasing.
