Extinction: Where is the margin of humanity

First of all, the production of the movie is indeed too rough. After all, it is a low-cost movie, mainly selling new-angle science fiction themes. Therefore, I don’t think I need to pay too much attention to the logical details of the plot. At least as far as I am concerned, the film still touched me from a certain angle and triggered my thinking:

The first thing I think of is how to define the meaning of "human" or "humanity". If the development of artificial intelligence really breaks through the singularity, and there are intelligent and even humanized robots, how should humans treat them? They are just Ordinary computers and tools have evolved into "human beings" with our help. When you were about to turn off the power of the robot in order to save electricity bills, she (the little girl) cried and told you that she didn't want to die, and she didn't want to be turned off just like that, what should you do? Thinking of this, I can’t help but recall that when I was playing "Detroit Become Human", I stood in the position of a biochemical person with wisdom and humanity, and faced with human beings’ "creative grace", love and hatred, abuse and violence. What should I do? These problems are really hard to think clearly. I really feel that the development of human technology urgently needs the simultaneous growth of human beings on the moral and philosophical levels, otherwise it will create chaos and contradictions. It’s like an older child who hasn’t matured in his mind suddenly has a child by accident. They don’t know how to educate and train the child, but after the child is born, they dislike and hate the child. This will only create a relationship between themselves and the child. The contradiction caused by the tragedy may lead to tragedy; or, like a monk who only practices Shaolin's 72 stunts but does not study the Dharma, he cannot achieve the balance and unity between the martial arts cultivation and moral cultivation.

On the other hand, this movie also triggered a reflection on racial discrimination, that is to say, human beings have not really adjusted their mentality to their organic kind, let alone their newly created inorganic race... …Humans are really weird. On the one hand, they can show care for animals with a little bit of humanity. On the other hand, they can be very violent and cruel to other races that are also human. Kill the black). It is both selfish and greedy, but also extremely kind and noble...Human science and technology are developing rapidly and with each passing day, and they are about to enter the age of the universe and begin to explore other galaxies. But maybe we need to explore our inner world more now and figure out who we are and what kind of guy we are more important. Because it seems that as human beings, we don't seem to think enough about ourselves, and we haven't figured out where and how the boundaries of our human nature are and how to keep this boundary. Because if you accidentally go over it, you may do things like killing your wife and killing your father, and embark on the road of eternal extinction!

  • [first lines]

Peter: [narrating] Our world never stops moving. Changing. Evolving. Every day we go about our routines - work, home, family - but who are we? Who am I? You think you know your beautiful wife, your adorable kids, and who you work for. But what if you don't? And the truth, once you knew it, would change everything.

[the attack begins, then he awakes]

    Alice: You have a nightmare?

  • [last lines]

Peter: [narrating] Our world keeps moving. Changing. Evolving. And so do we. I know who I am now. And I know my enemy. We're not that different. Maybe, if others can see that, we'll have a future after all.
