Maybe what this film wants to tell is not high IQ

The true and false were not fully understood until the last moment. The unexpected ending saved the film that was scattered and scattered. The style and tone of the film are nostalgic (the costumes and cars make me still ignorant of the background of the film), so I guess maybe the director didn’t want to shoot an "Eleven Arhats" or "Hustle" as exciting and fast-paced. High IQ movies. Perhaps what the film wants to tell is dreams and love.

PS: Doubts about the background of the film:
their clothing, most of the cars, trains, and cruise ships look really nostalgic.
But mobile phones, bombs, pinhole cameras, and the heroine’s cool yellow car, and the protagonist’s rapid travel to and from all over the world (definitely by plane), all show that it should be the story of the 21st century.
Is the costume or something to pay homage to the classic black and white films of the early 20th century?

PS and PS: I really like the sunset tone at the end, very beautiful picture, but this is purely my personal preference.
