After his wife was paralyzed, she lost the opportunity to work in school. Ovie was so indignant that he had no choice but to build a wooden wheelchair escalator for his wife in the rainy night. The cabinets at home are also the same. Ovie, who is extremely capable of hands-on skills, re-created kitchen equipment for his wife that is much shorter than the normal height. The concept of barrier-free design was formally proposed by the United Nations in 1974. Presumably, when the movie was released in 2015, Ovie’s age in the film was 59 years old, 40 years ago, Ovie and his wife happened to be in the early 70s when they were young. I imagined that it should be because of the hard work of a group of stubborn and loving people like Ovi that are pushing the world toward a better direction.
