Evil is rewarded, it has nothing to do with God

Religious beliefs are said to have basically collapsed. I remember that when I was in college, a foreign teacher explained to us a classic paradox that has always plagued Western society. God exists; God is omnipotent; God is merciful. These three propositions cannot be established at the same time. If God exists and is omnipotent, how can there be so much suffering in the world? So God is not merciful; if God exists and is merciful, then human suffering proves that God is not omnipotent; if God is omnipotent and merciful, then where does the human suffering come from, so God does not exist. In "Crime and Punishment", Raskolnikov was born out of the innocent feelings of a fledgling college student. He killed people for the justice of the world. He did not get any material benefits. Later, he was probated by Sonya and went to the police station. Surrendered and went to God for salvation. In the 21st century, Terry killed people for money and personal gain. After killing people, he was condemned in his heart and couldn't find the way out, because he knew that God could not save him. If he kills someone, he will be dead. So I can't imagine the possibility of a better ending to the story other than the ending of the brothers' death.
But whether or not doing evil is rewarded, in fact, has nothing to do with God. God punishes you and yourself punishes yourself, the effect is similar. People are contradictory. I believe that there are not many people who are completely bad. They are always imaginary when they do bad things. From the moment of guilty conscience, people dig a grave for themselves.
Therefore, to do bad things, not only do you have to despise God, but you have to be really cruel.

Cassandra's Dream quotes

  • Father: Nobody wants to be selfish, but everybody is.

  • Mother: Everybody predicted great things for Ian. He's so nice looking and personable. Now, it's a mystery to me why he's not more successful.

Father: Because he's not content with what he has. He sees himself like Howard, with a fancy life. Always got some scheme. Always waiting for his ship to come in.

Mother: Well, his ship won't come in at the restaurant. He does that out of a son's love for his father.

Father: Like the poet said, "The only ship certain to come in has black sails."
