The long-awaited Woody Allen movie was finally watched before the busy film festival. I feel satisfied. I still like Woody Allen.

"Cassandra's Dream" is a bit "Match Point", maybe the story is a bit It's similar. The

movie is dominated by male characters, and the female characters are used as foils, but the beauty Hayley Atwell (Angela) also has a lot of scenes. It is a story of sex and love that everyone is familiar with. Perhaps the subject matter is well-known human weakness , With some subtle dialogue, a sense of humor is infiltrated. Not the usual Woody Allen-style humor, but it's just as funny. It

can be said that Ewan McGregor (Ian) and Colin Farrell (Terry) stand alone in the movie, both of them They all performed very well. McGregor finally reappeared on the screen with a fit fit body shape this time, which is in sharp contrast with Farrell, who plays Terry, who has a weaker personality. They have their own styles, and there is no way to compare them. I really appreciate Farrell's interpretation and gamble. Terry’s unrelenting. I

like Woody Allen good at depicting the weaknesses and dark sides of human nature. So arrogant, impulsive, greedy for money, lust, show off... Everyone knows well, and there will be resonance. The film has a tight rhythm and no boring scenes. .

there Philip Glass soundtrack, although not as to prefer to buy OST, but music certainly creates tension and suspense movies.

people did not go to some place, often do not know how much they can afford. this is the point , The ending of the movie is reasonable and a bit unexpected. The

only dissatisfaction is that there are not many actresses. In the first scene of the movie, the two brothers ran to watch the boat scene, which felt a bit old-fashioned and pleasurable.

Cassandra's Dream quotes

  • Father: Nobody wants to be selfish, but everybody is.

  • Mother: Everybody predicted great things for Ian. He's so nice looking and personable. Now, it's a mystery to me why he's not more successful.

Father: Because he's not content with what he has. He sees himself like Howard, with a fancy life. Always got some scheme. Always waiting for his ship to come in.

Mother: Well, his ship won't come in at the restaurant. He does that out of a son's love for his father.

Father: Like the poet said, "The only ship certain to come in has black sails."
