Tristan and Isolde are tragedies on par with Romeo and Juliet, and they appeared earlier than the latter. It's just a comparison of the translation of the Chinese "King's Heart" BT.
This lingering three-act opera is adapted from the narrative poem of the same name by the German poet Strassbro in the Middle Ages. The theme is lust, love and death. The film refers to the basic story pattern and theme of the long poem and opera
