The image of 囧瑟夫 in the film is absolutely shocking. With flowing hair, stubborn stubble, jeans with open knees, and rusty vans, the most eye-catching thing is the stick figure-style tattoo on Jiao Cerf's body. A suicide villain who shot a headshot, and a palm with his middle finger raised angrily.
Heather is a violent, deviant rock youth. He was displaced and wandered around, trying to live his unruly life in a self-exile. In Heather's world, there seems to be only sex and violence, which have also become his means of solving problems. When he met TJ, a boy who lost his mother in a car accident, everything changed; his original "unquiet" "quiet life", because of TJ's accidental intrusion, triggered a series of changes. In the end, this cynical and rebellious youth saved a family that was on the brink of collapse.
Due to the sudden departure of his mother, the originally warm and harmonious family of four went to pieces. After that, the life of young TJ was nothing but bullying and helplessness. Looking for the red car where his mother was killed became the boy's only obsession.
To some extent, Heather is like an adult version of a young TJ. In the face of life, they all chose to fight violence with violence. However, Heather is obviously better at it. His idiosyncratic stand by, and his fascinating love are silently declaring TJ: This is not the world you should have. As an uninvited guest of the Broken House, Heather is like Moses who has fallen from the sky, guiding the people who have suffered disasters out of their predicament.
All misfortunes will eventually turn; all feelings finally ushered in catharsis at grandmother's funeral. Heather inspired these two men who were devastated by fate:
"You have lost your wife. You have lost your mother. I have lost a testicle."
This is Heather. A violent, perverted, rebellious rock youth, but full of justice and love in his bones, even though he is full of fornication and nonsense.
So the tattoo on Heather seems to be understandable: if your life is full of misfortunes, either quit yourself happily, or put your middle finger to the hard life without thinking.
Just like the movie "Waiting Alone" said: Either live well or die quickly.
