When importing foreign films, we often translate a Chinese name for the film and let it "go as the locals do". Translating the Chinese name of a movie is a work that integrates technology, art, and imagination. Many foreign films have been translated into Chinese titles, but they are more amazing than the original titles. From the film title "Shark Sea" alone, it is easy to assume that this is a human-shark war movie. From this perspective, the film is of course unqualified. If the battle between humans and sharks is to be the main line, then whether the story enters the topic, the sharks appear on the scene, and the threat is made, it is obviously too procrastinated.
As the highlight of the human-shark war, the "war" part is even more disappointing. There is no fierce human and shark fighting, no tragic scene of the main supporting role being attacked by sharks, and no bloody scenes of stumped limbs. Not even a close-up of the sharp teeth of a shark. But have you really noticed that the title of the film is "Shark"?
Obviously not. The opening subtitles of the film tell everyone simply and clearly, the film is called "47 meters down".
Obviously, what the film is going to tell is a story that happened 47 meters under the sea. With this as the main line, then the entry of the subject is not procrastinated. Not only is it not procrastinating, but also stunning. Soon after the film began, the director and screenwriter threw the leading and supporting role into a double enclosed space with a depth of 47 meters. The claustrophobic deep sea + cage. This unfolds a series of subsequent stories.
As a film that places the story in the deep sea, the film integrates multiple crises. The most immediate threat comes from oxygen depletion. (At the beginning, when the main supporting role sank to the bottom of the sea, there should have been an unsuitable response to physical function, but the director and screenwriter skipped it, and we will not discuss it.) Starting from the time when the oxygen is less than 50% when deep into the bottom of the sea, the problem of hypoxia has permeated The video is always. And the lack of oxygen also caused a series of subsequent crises. The film has been using bloody footage to suggest that the shark is about to visit. It is well known that sharks are extremely sensitive to the smell of blood. But the strange thing is that there is no direct death of the protagonist in this film because of the attraction of the blood to the sharks.
When falling to the bottom of the sea, the blood flowing from Lisa's mouth attracted the shark to the cage. After attacking the cage once, the shark gave up the attack. In the lens, we can see that the cage is actually not strong, and the cage is almost broken when it is down. With just one bite, the shark can bite through the cage and eat deliciously. But the shark did not.

But please note that in comprehensive movies, the shark is only one of the threats. And after launching from the main supporting role, except for the unreal part of Lisa's fantasy, the picture has not actually appeared on the water again. From this perspective, "47 meters down" is quite closely related to the theme. Therefore, translating "47 meters down" into "Shark Sea" is equivalent to only intercepting one aspect of the movie, magnifying the threat of sharks, creating gimmicks, and attracting audiences. (Of course the translator may not think so, but simply translated it into "Shark Sea"). But in any case, this translation is obviously not qualified. I personally think that the translation of the film into "47 meters deep" will be more appropriate than the translation into "Shark Sea".
It is worth mentioning that the reversal of the film is amazing. When everyone thought Lisa and Kate were saved, it turned out to be an illusion of Lisa. If the film cuts out the last rescue segment, the camera will be fixed on Lisa's laughing face, pulling further and further, and ending with this. Then the movie is perfect.
