Never write a film review, this is not a film review, just disagree with some of the content in the film reviews I have seen. The following are all personal opinions.
1. Regarding why Sally left Bryan in the end... I rely on her to say that it is because she is self-centered, can't bear her married life, and still wants to fight for fame and profit to be an actress. Did Ryan believe the same thing! ! !
1. At the wedding of the two Jews, Sally smiled happily as always, showing that he had a longing for married life; but what about Brian? He bowed his head and said nothing, his expression gloomy.
2. The two lay in the woods. Sally tried every means to make Brian happy. He also took the initiative to mention the child, and even compared the child with Jesus; but Brian was still listless. Finally, Sally fell on his knees and his face became lonely. Then came their past ridiculous and happy times and the weird days in the cabaret.
3. When Sally had an abortion, he picked up the ball dropped by the boy sitting on the stairs playing with the ball, and stayed behind him to look at him for a while. Is it like she is eager to have an abortion?
Through Brian's indifferent reaction, Sally knew that they would not have a future. Combining the previous sentence with Brian did not say before, she felt more likely to be "you will soon be tired of me like this, and then leave me". Just like her father, just like Max.
In fact, what I have always wanted to know is, did Bryan marry Sally? I didn’t think about it. The platforms were far off. Brian raised Sally’s empty ring finger. He hesitated, and in the end he only praised her for her dazzling nails, but didn’t he know that Sally’s nails had always been Is it this color? The swearing alliance once was nothing but a piece of paper. When Brian learned of Sally's abortion, he kept accusing Sally of having an abortion, asking that she must know the reason for her abortion, and why didn't she hope that her fault could be completely cleared from her.
Sally loved him too much, so she gave him the reason he wanted it.
"I really love you."
"Yes...I think you really love me."
2. Sally said that she still wanted to be an actress and sang that she loves karaoke... Is that really the case?
1. Farewell to the platform Sally said that she had to go to an interview, but she returned to the karaoke hall. As an "international superstar" in the karaoke hall, Sally definitely doesn't need an interview if she wants to go back, so she just said that she wanted to say goodbye to Brian and make him believe that she was uneasy about marriage and still wanted to break through.
Moreover, without the fur coat, we can see that Sally's clothes have been ripped through several huge holes. She was out of money, and Brian didn't leave her any money when she wanted to come. No money, how do you get around? The question is, does Brian know? How could he not understand that he had been in despair and couldn't do anything without money. He knew what Sally could do after he returned.
2. There was a scene of Sally being molested during the flash, and Sally was still the object of oppression in the cabaret.
3. Sally's uneasy expression before the performance of his last song changed to ecstasy for a second when the lights came on. She radiantly expressed her passion for karaoke life on the stage. But I always feel that she is almost crying.
Finally, the scene of the debauchery and depravity in the karaoke room at the beginning of the film flashed back. The most influential thing is that the two women hugged and wrestled in the mud, just to win cheers from the audience.
Compared to a stable marriage and cute children, how can Sally really love this kind of karaoke life? It's just that the latter is the only thing she can grasp.
Her life taught her that even if her eyes were crying, her mouth should be raised high, and even if she wanted to cry, she could only laugh with enjoyment on her face.
"Forget the troubles in your life? I told you already, life here is beautiful."
Because as long as the light hits your face, you have to laugh at me.
