Remember that year-Matsuda Yusaku

When I was fortunate enough to watch his work, I was only a teenager. But even as a child, the few casual films left a deep impression that can never be erased. At that time, Star TV was just introduced to China, and many good movies that cannot be seen in China can be seen here. Coincidentally, and fortunately, after reading homework, I saw Matsuda Yusaku's works successively: "Detective Story", "Family Game", and "Since Then". A few years later, I watched another "Personal Testimony" and "Black Rain", in which he played the second male number. Whether it was a cold-faced police officer who had scars when he was a teenager, or the gang boss who was so badly damaged, they all give people a deep impression.

As a super-class actor in Japan throughout the 1980s, Matsuda Yusaku made his early debut from a play. He himself was a genuine second-dan karate (you can see that the scenes in "Black Rain" are not fake), but he later became unique His character and lifelike acting skills opened up another drama road, and thus reached the pinnacle of his career. "Detective Story", "Family Game", and "Since then" are all masterpieces of this period. When he starred in his posthumous work "Black Rain", he had been suffering from cancer for a long time. It's hard to imagine how a person suffering from cancer can play such a superb role in a villain who is so cruel that even the gang boss is a little scared. Only his obviously overly thin face in the movie silently revealed how hard he was mentally and physically when dedicated to the last work in his life.

Matsuda's works give people an immortal impression, and "Since then", which he collaborated with Morita in 1985, is a classic among the classics, and I especially like it. The story is adapted from the original work of the same name by Xia Soseki. It tells the story of Tokyo in the late Meiji period. The rich son of nearly 30 years old, Dasuke-kun, is sitting at home, living a plain and idle life. Every day, apart from walking in the study, reading, and drinking tea in the garden, I have nothing to ask for, but occasionally I will be persuaded by my sister to go on a blind date, and my father will scold him for not being self-motivated. One day, former old classmate Hiraoka and his wife Sanchiyo went back to Tokyo to ask him for help. As a result, some unforgettable memories and feelings that had been deliberately hidden in their lives were suddenly awakened. The rhythm of the whole movie is slow and calm, the lens is beautiful and bright, and time seems to be stagnant here, only the love and youth exuding the fragrance of sadness are flowing and flowing under the bright sunlight. Such a calm story has a thrilling visual and spiritual stunning. The rich brother played by Matsuda is graceful and charming, quiet and quiet, on the outside, he is calm, lazy and indifferent, but his heart is sad and undercurrent surging. "Following" is very oriental, but it is not the touching sentiment that can be made in Chinese movies. The most regrettable thing for me is that all my memories are based on the impression that I watched it once when I was a teenager, and I could never buy a disc for this movie.

Another thing worth mentioning is "Family Game", which is a milestone in Matsuda's transition from fighting to acting. It tells a story about a different, even a little weird, tutor and a cowardly and introverted boy, and the boy's life is changed by this. A very natural and lifelike movie, the unforgettable charming teacher, you can't feel the trace of Matsuda's performance at all, you just think that this is himself. "Detective Story" is the most relaxing and funny in comparison. In my memory, it was played by Matsuda Yusaku and the popular Japanese movie star Yakushi Hiromaruko. The pairing of the two is very interesting, because Matsuda is 1.85 tall, while Yakushi is less than 1.6. In the film, in order to solve the case, the two people who have nothing to do with each other panic and pretend to be lovers in a panic. "Detective Story" was released on TV many years later, showing the success of the film.

Such a shining personality, charm and talent was killed by cancer at the age of 39. Many years later, when I knew that this person admired him as a spectator and liked him, he had been out of the world for many years, so I felt endlessly sad. This kind of sorrow, those like me who have admired him wholeheartedly, will definitely feel sorry for him.

Matsuda Yusaku’s posthumous work, although he was dyingly ill at the time, was still handsome and horribly horrified. He was completely ill. Takakura Ken’s spoken language was good, but his facial paralysis was not well performed in the play. I don’t know if it’s unacceptable. The film is actually quite ordinary. Although many people have seen the combination of Douglas and Takakura Ken, but in terms of performance in the play, it is definitely Matsuda Yusaku the most eye-catching.
