Josephine Chesterfield (Hathaway) and Penny Rust (Wilson) are both female scammers who swindled money out of men, but their scams are completely different. Josephine likes to dress well and confuse men with her charming appearance. Together with her men, she specializes in defrauding wealthy people from all over the world or expensive jewelry in casinos. Penny's route is more civilian. She mainly pretends to be poor and cheats cash from men she knows on the Internet in ordinary bars. In a train encounter, these two female liars met. Penny wanted Josephine to teach her how to scam a man's money.
