Completely unfamiliar environment, coming and going, even strangers who speak foreign languages. What a classic thriller setting this is! Reminds me of Hitchcock's "The Lady Vanishes" (I saw a remake of the 70s).
The film takes the longest railway line in the world-Trans-Siberian as its creative background. This railway not only provides a unique place for the occurrence of the case, but also fully demonstrates the unique frigid scenery and cultural characteristics of Siberia.
The photography is excellent and the actors perform better.
Originally, it was for Emily Mortimer, and it was great to see her portray a different (though not very flattering) role. There are also Woody Harrelson and Ben Kingsley, the performances are as full of tension as always.
Rating: 9 out of 10
