Although I’m a little bit clueless, I'm not upset yet

Siberia naturally has a story, just the name of the place.
Think of the movie The Barber of Siberia. Not to mention that the movie suddenly remembered the exile that began in the imperial Russian era. In the Soviet era, it was a bitter place for political prisoners. It is normal to meet strange people and strange things here.

Ben Kingsley said that in the Soviet Union, we lived in the dark, and now we die in the light. The average life expectancy in the past was 65. Now it is 58, because I am 58 years old, so it is clear.

There are some plots that are a bit bad and deliberately struggle with the audience. For example, if the husband missed the train and didn't explain whether it was a Spanish guy, he deliberately frightened people. The American woman was ruthless, showing the true nature of the little Taimei, and suddenly rose up and killed the Spanish boy. This plot is indeed too abrupt, but it is barely passed. People can do anything under extreme fear, and Siberia is such a place. Is it implying the terror of Soviet Russia? Too ideological! It is this tendency that still makes people uncomfortable.

At the end of the story, the American police said, my mother said, do not be talking to strangers. Ha ha, remember Hitchcock’s classic movie The Train Stranger, it turned out to be an exercise to the master of suspense, then Don't be too harsh.

The close-up photography at the beginning and the development after that are really full of contrast. "Kill off my demons and my angels might die, too" like this sentence

Transsiberian quotes

  • passenger: [about the Gulag] If you want proof about America, you take a book. You want proof about Russia, take shovel. They're all buried here. Scientists, priests, poets. There is no God, and there is no Siberia.

  • Jessie: [to Roy, about him trying to get her to stop smoking] Kill off all my demons, Roy, and my angels might die too.
