For me, the value of sponge is that it can reduce the dimension of my brain to only one neuron, to appreciate this kind of positive and brainless happiness. In this situation, the colorful marshmallow-like imagination, the magical laughter of the sponge, the negativity of the octopus and the squeeze of the crab boss are all wrapped in warmth and become a kind of cute point. It is the opposite of reality, but it moves people more than any reality. So whenever I feel exhausted physically and mentally in the real world, it is a cure.
As for this big movie, I think it is a step backward from the previous one. Although the 3D modeling is cute and arrogant, the various scenes are dazzling. But it's like pouring a few pots of cold rice into a large dish and stir-frying. The assortment is colorful and skillful, but after all, the taste is a bit strange. In Sponge Soul, the bizarre but reasonable plot trend and the feeling of cheapness are not shown enough, and the expression methods such as the most favorite strange beauty art are not reflected too much. The whole story of a real sponge drama should be like riding a roller coaster. When we accelerate to the top, we thought it would fly down, but it flew out along the tangent line. We were afraid of falling to death, but it magically laughed and shouted "Wind" It’s so cool." In the end we fell into the clouds, bounced and fell, unscathed, unscientific, but moved us more than science. In fact, think about it, if the world is really that simple, wouldn't it be nice.
I hope that the future screenwriter of Sponge will return to Steven Heilenberg, who is the soul of Sponge.
