Sometimes people know that some habits are bad, but it’s really hard to change

Just watched this film. I want to guess what I mean. The protagonist is tired of his life, he wants to leave, but he is not determined enough. By helping friends to retaliate and bad guys retaliating against him shows that he is comfortable with this violent life. (For him, fighting and killing is his life. He is not afraid of revenge. He is even more afraid of this kind of life. A new life. He finds it more difficult than fighting). In the end, his situation and the boy helped him strengthen his confidence to leave. Finally no contradiction anymore. I left happily. This is how I justified myself after watching the movie. Because I didn't quite understand it after reading it. This is my understanding of this movie.

  • Baby: It seems that somebody broke into room 3506 last night, beat up on three guys, and took $50,000.

Nick Wild: And that was before I had my Wheaties.

Baby: [laughs heartily] If only that were funny.

  • Nick Wild: Dyin' ain't so bad. And at least I'll be out of Las Vegas.
