The first Neil Jordan movie I saw was Interview with Vampires at Night. At that time, I was attracted by its tortuous plot and gorgeous style. That movie is still my favorite vampire movie so far. Then I accidentally bought a arrogant movie, like this crying game, which is a Republican movie. It is about the legendary life of Mike Collins, one of the founders of the Republican Army. It is very brave in the 1920s. The taste, I like it very much. Afterwards, I found this movie specifically to see what Neil Jordan was like in his early days. Generally speaking, it is an alternative romance film in a political cloak. Not as good as those two, but they are also not bad, it is worth watching, especially the "female", surprising enough. But the ending of the film seems to be too perfect. The damned are dead, and the alive are alive. It feels not in harmony with the overall realistic style of the film.
