A cheap tacky silly space opera

I only watched "Ted" to see this film. I thought it was a high-quality sci-fi blockbuster that I had never heard of. As a result, I felt that "Ted" was really appropriate to include such a slogan. Thank you Teddy Bear for reminding me to watch this cosmic drama.

Let me talk about the fun story behind the film first: the
legendary Italian producer Dino De Laurentiis bought the film and television rights to the comic book Flying Man Gordon. He originally asked Fellini to direct the film, but Fellini was late. Do it yourself. Dino went to find another old Italian guy Leone, but Leone refused. He thought the script was not in line with the spirit of the original.
In the meantime, Lucas wanted to buy the copyright with Dino and do it himself, but Dino refused, and Lucas went back to focus on Star Wars.
The script was written by Lorenzo Semple Jr., who wrote the "Batman" TV series before, and then everyone blamed him for bad scripting. He was very wronged. He said that it was actually the producer dino who insisted that he write "The Flying Man Gordon" with a sense of joy. Dino wanted to make a sci-fi epic film full of humor. He didn't want to recite the scapegoat when he saw it.

Why are many people scolding when this film comes out? In fact, you can almost understand it in the first 10 minutes. Why is this film so fake? The Star Wars filming is so detailed that I am afraid that the audience will not enter the scene. The characters in the movie are all fakes that can be seen through at a glance, and they pretend to be there in bright and blinding strange costumes. Fei Xia Gordon looked like a muscular, stupid, blond, white man who had eaten various hormone protein powders. The Emperor Ming, who was bored and wanted to destroy the earth, looked exactly like the Chinese villain Fu Manchu. Props such as airplanes, rockets, palaces, etc., which have completely failed in proportions, are as rough as a child's paste up with cardboard. I don't even bother to design a small independent flying machine. I put two big wings on the actors and shuttles between planets in the universe. No, wait, there are also small flying machines. What is Gordon driving? Is it a treadmill in a gym? In short, this film is fake from costumes to props to lighting to performances to lines. It is necessary to know that the budget of this film is almost twice that of Star Wars. Although it does not lose money (the profit is actually pretty good), Obviously everyone thinks that a movie with such a budget is made so that the production unit is not at a loss.

However, if you insist on watching the complete film, you might feel that such a poor work exudes a vulgar and indescribable charm. Wouldn't those golden and red costumes give you some inspiration in the design of costumes and jewelry? Wouldn't those rigid and artificial performances give you some inspiration to make a Spring Festival Gala sketch? Doesn't the superb music of the queen make you bloody? Is it spray? Producers and directors are serious about making a comedy sci-fi epic film. Who says sci-fi films must be as tense and serious as "Star Wars"? Why do pioneering approaches often lead to so many censures? "Star Wars" may want to arouse your thinking about the justice axioms in the universe, "Gordon Flying Man" just wants to make you laugh. Children definitely like this movie. Although it's a bit pornographic, adults think too much, and have been criticized all the time. So adults will be very envious when they see children playing carefree, the childlike innocence and innocence that can't be returned.

Pauline Kyle once gave the film a very good one-sentence summary: This is a mythical story that takes place in a disco on the cloud.
