When you and me were young

When immersed in the movie world created by the old literary youth Linklater, I seem to be able to feel the truest self in the seemingly unremarkable plot trend. This is probably the way most people’s youth is, passionate, wanton, occasionally chatting with ugly jokes, fantasizing about love, and yearning for freedom. I don’t know the United States in the 1980s. I didn’t know anything about baseball. My face blindness was so severe that I was afraid of group play. But watching the twelve young and energetic teenagers in the movie, it’s like seeing them combined with a common face. Young in uppercase. This group of people seems to have lived among you and me regardless of national borders and gender, occasionally chatting on weird topics, and occasionally rebellious and wanting to show their individuality against the world. The plot of the film can't be so simple that it can't even talk about the theme except for the last romantic love. But often the simplest language will create the most moving romance. Music, beer, party, baseball. These young people laughed and greeted their own college time, and the most free youth began. This is a youth memory song belonging to Linklater, and I hope it can also evoke the memories of your childhood in the depths of your memory.

No resonance. Alcohol, sex, pornographic jokes, it's just a third-rate sex comedy without marijuana, I don't want to believe it's Linklater's recent work, really let go of myself

6.9. Youth is actually just a dream. From the moment the protagonist closes his eyes in the ending...beginning...

Plummer: F**k, that would be awesome

  • Finnegan: Have you noticed whenever we're around baseball all we talk about is pussy. Now, we're actually around a few potentially interesting young women, all you talk about is baseball. It's a little fucked up!
